My best friend bought a house, the person who remodeled the house bought a brand new Amana washer and dryer from Hamby’s. On the first use the washer failed and would not drain or do anything. This was approximately one month ago. They say they have been waiting on parts this whole time, which none of us believe. Today a guy shows up to fix it and doesn’t have a shop vac or anything to remove the water which they knew was there after the first assessment. The “service manager” Tom Hamby made it seem like it was somehow my fault for not providing a five gallon bucket because “most home owners have a bucket at their house.” This doesn’t even mention that he said, not knowing I could hear, that he didn’t care that we just wanted a new washer. So from personal experience the “service manager” doesn’t care about your experience, your problems, or his customers. But the warehouse where they stored the product must have had some bad leaks with quite a bit of water on the floor. The first box had water marks where either they got flooded or water just wicked up in the cardboard boxing. Because we just had major flooding in this area we refused the first box. The second had been dry completely. Since we opted to buy the Speed Queen Washer that has no lid lock and you can set the water levels along with the temperature, we were thrilled with our purchase and hope it will be our last one. Send a message to theses Washing machine builders we do not need your headache machines. These new machines take more water and more electricity because your washing them twice! Read moreNEVER buy from them!!! My Grandmother has been waiting for her refrigerator to be fixed for over 6 months. She has an extended warranty which is worth nothing! Her husband just passed away from cancer, and the whole week of the funeral when people were bringing food she couldn’t keep it because of her refrigerator. She is still waiting. They have 2 of the same model sitting at their store which they should have already taken to her by now and haven’t. It was barely a year old when it stopped working.
