My sister's and myself came in Friday for a laye breakfast (probably around 1130) Our server was FANTASTIC. The host was great.. But the food? We all had problems with our meals. I ordered an omelet (a farmers garden, I believe) with potatoes and toast. I was REEEAALLY hungry! My 1st bite: The broccoli was FROZEN. Ice chIps crunched in my mouth. 😕 The omelet was all veggies with no cheese. (COOKS: Put cheese inside the omelet. It bonds the food together) The omelet had a "homemade hollandaise sauce" on top. I didn't care for it at all. There was no cheese at all. 😵💫 GIMMEE CHEESE PLEASE!! I asked our server to remedy this. (They microwaved it), which isn't that big of a deal. However, it dried this cheeseless omelet to rubber. The cubed & fried potatoes were fine. My toast was the best part of my meal. My little sister ordered an egg, sausage, hash brown breakfast. Her hashbrowns were burnt. No exaggeration! My other sister ordered a breakfast with pancakes. Her pancakes were cold & partially raw🙄 When our server brought our foods back out, after we complained..... The cooks microwaved the 🥞. Which completely changed the texture of them. It had taken a while to get our food back to us. Rather than ask for new ones. This is the 2nd time time that I have been to this Nampa Egg factory location. It was a few years ago. It was a similar experience as last week , Honestly, I tried to talk them into going anywhere else... But they wanted to give it a go. Would I go back?...
Read moreMy wife and I visited The Egg Factory for the first time today, and it was an absolute delight. The charming rustic atmosphere added to the overall experience, and we were impressed by how immaculately clean the place was.
The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, despite the slight delay in food service, which we understood given the ongoing post-COVID situation and the help-wanted sign for cooks.
Now, let's talk about the food – it was simply outstanding. We decided to try the chicken fried steak breakfast and the Sausage Lovers platter. The chicken fried steak was tender and cooked to perfection, complemented by well-prepared eggs and a truly fantastic gravy.
The Sausage Lovers platter was equally delightful, with perfectly cooked and flavorful meat, accompanied by seasoned and crispy potatoes that brought back memories of a genuine southern home-cooked meal.
However, the real showstopper was the Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes. Served with butter and a delectable lemon-flavored syrup, they were a sinful delight. The combination of sweetness and lemony goodness made it an unforgettable experience. If you enjoy sweet and lemony treats, these pancakes are an absolute must-try!
Overall, we had a fantastic journey of flavors at The Egg Factory, and we are already looking forward to returning for more. Thank you for taking such good care of us...
Read moreI love the Egg Factory in Nampa, Idaho located on Caldwell Blvd. The food is great as are, most (not all) of the folks who work there. There are times when they are really busy, which is often, when the servers are so slammed that they forget that each table is an individual table of people. I've had many times when I have passed busy servers without getting so much as an acknowledgement or smile. Felt like I was causing a problem by coming in when they were so busy. It's hard for them to be gushy when they are so backed up they can barely breath. When things are slower, they are all gracious and very caring. So, what to do? Well, hoping the manager reads this, the problem seems very obvious. Servers are also serving as greeters, seating customers and taking payment. The answer seems obvious by just watching the operation of any well run restaurant of that size. Just have the manager fill the front end duties. During slower times the manager can stop by tables for a personal touch, check on the kitchen, and take care of other duties. You're a great opportunity for those of us who love you, Egg Factory, but come on, take that next step to professionalism. Oh, BTW, it seems to be the case in the Egg Factory on Idaho...
