I should start by saying that generally their food was very good. It's in the upper half of what you would expect from a mostly authentic Mexican food place. I got two shredded beef enchiladas and it should have beef taco. All of them were very good. It's also the only place where I like refried beans. Which, I assume, means they are the best in the world, lol.
With that said, I have a system that I use to assess the wait staff. At most restaurants it's simple. However full or empty my water glass is is it representation of whether or not they want a tip.
AT MEXICAN FOOD PLACES my system is similar, but with salsa. I told the waitress up front that our party (of 15) will go through salsa quickly, and that it would be good to bring a couple of extra small bowls, and perhaps even a deeper bowl with salsa for me.
I have trouble dipping chips in the very shallow salsa bows; especially with places that use a very thin, watery salsa. She never brought the deeper bowl. She was very slow at bringing the salsa for the rest of the table. Other guests in our party were constantly asking for more.
The flavor of the salsa was very good. The spice level and taste of freshness from cilantro were perfect. However, the fact that my initial request was ignored is certainly worth thinking about next time I consider...
Read moreFirst off we got seated at a booth unfortunately my man and I aren't toothpicks and we also had our 11month old in her carseat. So it made it extremely tight. Then we ordered our food and when it was bright out to us come to find out both our orders weren't correct.🤦🤦when the head waitress came out and was asking what was wrong with our oder. I explained it to her that I wanted green sauce and the toppings. But they took my meal back when it was brought back out they left out the toppings and side salad...I just thought whatever. Bad part of it all is both my husband and I suffered all night long with tummy aches and the urge of throwing up... We decided that we'll never eat here again. Oh the picture shows just how clean the silverware is, my fork has hardcore melted cheese on it. I tried to scrub it off but it was so hard and stuck on it that even trying to scratch it off only left a light mark on the cheese. Bottom line is if you want to eat here please let me know how your experience is. Because every time I've ate here in the past I would get served up plastic in my enchiladas. Good factor is this visit I didn't get plastic in my...

I left this previous review a while ago and am updating today 3/23/23 Unfortunately, food and service hasn't gotten better.
My family and I used to love this restaurant and keep wanting to support their business by still giving them a chance, but no more. The last couple of times we went there, things were not good. One time I ordered shrimp fajitas, which is not a cheap meal and most of the vegetables and shrimp were burnt to the bottom of the pan leaving me only the very top to eat. Second time just recently I ordered Carne asada tacos and was given ground beef. It was good as far as taste, but I was upset that they thought I was stupid enough to not know the difference, plus, I paid 3$ more for steak. Our waitress also was very absent. She took our order and gave us the check. Even tho she was walking around quite a bit, that was the only two times she approached us. And no, we didn't even leave a small tip. Food, and restaurants in general have gotten quite expensive, and when you pay to go out, you expect the food to be good and to be waited on with a smile and this chapala...
