Eating here is so unenjoyable, and it’s such a shame! The food is ok (but incredibly overpriced), the decor is great but the staff are so loud and obnoxious that unless you get the table out the back in the farthest corner, it’s impossible to not leave this place feeling like you’ve been in a washing machine for 40 minutes. Sitting at the left end of the counter is a total nightmare, the staff just surround you and are unbelievably loud with their fake banter, and also highly inappropriate gossiping and criticism of other staff…it’s totally obnoxious and cringeworthy and I’m guessing the the lady who is the loudest is the Manager! There’s also no shortage of staff yelling at one another from opposite ends of the restaurant, not just their congregation spot at the counter. Even moving from the counter to the row of booths parallel, you still have to stop your conversation with members of your party because you yourself are yelling just to be heard. Then you realise most of the restaurant are yelling at one another for the same reason, and it’s unbearable the volume. Also, it’s impossible to have your own conversation because the waitstaff never leave you alone. My most recent visit (my 4th) I counted…7 times in a 20 minute period we were asked “how is everything”. Also can the staff be trained to use their eyes and not make 4 of those visits to a table be exactly when both people are chewing. It’s basic for goodness sake. Also I think on each visit we’ve asked for something and not gotten it - a water refill, sour cream, or they’ve told us eggs are coming, but never arrive. It’s so disjointed, but there’s no shortage of staff working….theyre just all at the damn counter!! This place infuriates me. It’s just so obnoxious! As I say, I’ve visited several times now and have witnessed the same behaviour each...
Read moreI am the type of first impression never been here before. Me & my fiancee went to griddles the very first time. I asked in the start of we could just do to go but the guy convinced us to take the table that is available. We stayed yes then that table was in the area focused on the bathrooms. I first let that sly we went on looked at everything and the waiter which was great at keeping our drinks full all the time. We waited 30min then she our waiter comes tells us that it will be 10 min longer before our food will come out. I said thank you then 10min comes I tell the waiter we want it to go which she said yes then min later no food comes I finally ask for the ticket for our drinks so we can leave. The waiter comes back says it right on the window do you want it which I said yes since it finally out. When she brings us the food and ticket once we sign and everything for our meal the waiter decided to ask me were you in a hurry? I was drawn back for a moment with her asking me this that in any retail or customer service you don't ever ask this. Which is not at all customer service. I tell her I didn't want to wait forever with out a beat. Then we go back home took us only 6min to get home. My fiancee order eggs Benedict which was cold and then an meat lovers omelette without no eggs my toast was burnt then the damn food was lukewarm then the jelly was liquidy for some reason that not normal for any jelly I ever tasted or had. They are very glade I didn't eat our food there. I will never go back and I won't tell anyone to try their food. It might be the day but first impression is alot. Don't tell me 10min when it was way longer then that. I pay to get good food not have...
Read moreThought we would try this place for breakfast since we live nearby. My friend got the Gravy Train Potatoes which were fantastic and a side of French toast which was good as well. However, I got the crab cake benedict with a peach crepe on the side and my meal wasn't as good. The eggs were not poached fully (the egg whites were still snotty-looking), the crab cakes were not tasty at all (needed seasoning or something), and the peach sauce on the crepe smelled like it had been sitting out too long. The crepe itself was good, but I couldn't even finish the eggs benedict since the eggs were so underdone. When I complained to the waitress about it, she offered another poached egg to replace it and I turned that down and told her the crab cake didn't taste very good to me either. She said nothing, not even a sorry, and turned away from us to talk to other customers at another table. We got a soda and an iced tea (were charged $3.50 for each!) and never got refills. The waitress came back to the table with our check and said she took 10% off of the benedict...the crab cake benedict is $20. She took a whole $1 off of a meal I hardly ate. A different waitress came by to take our plates and when I told her about the egg issue she apologized and said she would talk to the manager. We never heard anything back from her. For the two of us it was about $55 for breakfast even after taking the $1 off. Probably won't be coming...
