finally got the chance to actually try something from here the other night after watching this place's construction through to completion over the last idk how many months or years, and i will say it's quite the unique experience. has a trendy vibe to it and while im aware it's not everyone's thing, i enjoy seeing it especially when it's done right, which this place does a wonderful job of doing even with the staff that work there who also just fit the vibe really well. kinda goes hand in hand if you think about it.
now i decided to be weird and get a smoothie since it was past 10pm when i actually ordered from there and i didn't want caffeine that late, and overall it was quite interesting since i mixed strawberry with pina colada and it definitely left quite the impression. not sure id personally mix the two again especially since there was kind of an odd aftertaste but at least i can say i tried it right? although i will say their large size, which is what i got, was honestly too big for it and it was more smoothie than i could've imagined especially since i was giving myself brain freezes every two minutes which was not fun, but hey i was the one who wanted a large so that's on me. id say though to make different cups for different drinks so you can modify sizes that make more sense for different drinks, like smoothies or energy drinks, however i am aware of how much of a logistical challenge that probably is so im just putting it out there as a heads up.
now for the traffic situation, which more than a few people have complained about, it wasn't horrendous when i was there and the line was moving quickly even at that hour, so i have no doubt in my mind that it moves pretty quick during peak hours. however i have seen iroquois back up with the line spilling out onto the road, and for that i say they should allow you guys to buy some of the lot of that collision repair shop next door to expand the drive thru lanes and reduce backups on iroquois but failing that id say figure out a system or put a hard stop on the amount of cars that can be present in the lanes or something like that, so it makes it easier on everything and everyone involved. that's just me though.
overall, i think this place will definitely take off in this area and become a staple, and if the first two weeks of it being open hasn't convinced you of that or the fact that there's another similar kind of drive thru coffee being built right on 59 then im not sure what will. keep up the great work you guys, i know...
Read moreWhile the coffee was quite good, I've been to this location twice recently and both times have not been the best at customer service. The first time I went, the male taking my order lectured me about the tap on my card not working and he didn't take quite well when I said that I didn't have apple pay set up for that specific card. I asked him to just insert the card and he kept making remarks about how he was going to break my card. The line was also not very long and I waited 25 minutes for one coffee. The second time I went, I ordered my coffee and the person taking my order asked me if I was okay with the amount of espresso. I told her "Yes, I've ordered this drink before." She proceeded to make a comment about how it's a lot of caffeine for a young person. I am 21. Regardless of age, it's not the workers job to make comments about what I can and cannot drink. The wait time was still terrible. The line was shorter than the first time I went and I still waited an abusrd amount of time. I finally got up to the place to receive my drink and the two female workers were arguing about what I ordered. First it was a different drink then it was a different size, they basically handed me a drink (that I still don't think was correct) and sent me on my way. I've been to other 7-brew locations and I have never had customer service as terrible as this. Overall, coffee has been good but spending $7 for poor customer service, terrible wait times and overall disorganization is not worth it to me. I'd rather go down the street...
Read moreFirst time trying 7brew. For reference I’m not a coffee drinker, an absolute coffee hater. I always drink chais so I wanted to try their chai but was curious if they could add different syrups to make it more interesting. The girl (I didn’t get her name she was so sweet, she had cool piercings and a puffy jacket) recommended a chai horchata with strawberry. I was really hesitant because I’ve had boba horchatas but never a chai horchata with strawberry. It actually was really good! They do ask you if you want to tip and sign, I honestly didn’t mind because it was freezing outside and several employees go outside. Apparently they switch off every hour which is nice, I do think they should invest in an order window sign because its not fair to the employees to go out in the cold. There was a really long line of cars but it moved really fast, so no complaint there tbh. Also love the other worker who had a fun yassified walk, made my whole day. So yes if you do go expect lines, be polite to the staff outside, I definitely recommend knowing what you want in advance by looking at the menu on your phone, and if you hate coffee like me get the chai.
One last really positive note. I just got back from California and they sadly have Dutch Bros. I remember feeling so sad about how big the large was in Cali whereas if I go to Starbucks or Dunkin the large is overpriced and not that big. The 7brew large really reminded me of the one from Dutch Bros which made me really happy! Because at least then you actually get your...
