Read moreI have never written a google review, but my horrible experience at Le Chocolat du Bouchard has caused me to write one so that no one experiences what myself and my group of friends (6 total) had to face on Sunday 12/30/18.
The lady at the front who seats people said it was a 50 minute wait and to write our number down so she can call us back to be seated. 50 minutes pass and we never get a call, so we go to the young lady and ask her if we can be seated now. She then tells us it's another 40 minutes and her approximations were not correct. We then demanded the lady to please seat us and figure something out and finally after 20 minutes she does her job correctly.
Our waiter comes and takes our order and states "I am the best waiter here." Happily we order knowing we have gotten the "best" over an HOUR AND A HALF passes and we still haven't received our order. We were even nice enough to give him extra time because we realized it's a weekend and it can get busy. The waiter finally comes back with his notepad and pen and hands it to US, the customers, to REWRITE OUR ORDER AGAIN.
Frustrated, I ask to speak to the manager and he too was no help. After explaining that we never recieved our order and how the waiter is telling us to write down what we already told him we ordered, the manager says "I am sorry we will cover for everything you received " proving he was not even listening to my complaint because we never received anything in the first place for him to cover.
As I was finishing up my complaint to the manager, the waiter brought out our order which was not even correct. Everyone received the brownie sundae when one of my friends asked for the mousse cake. 3 of the brownie sundaes did not even contain what we asked for like whipped cream and caramel sauce. The presentation was horrible as well, the brownie was broken in pieces. AS THE WAITER WAS HANDING OUT OUR FOOD HE WAS SHAKING HIS HEAD AT IT. How is the costumer suppose to eat something that the waiter is shaking his head at?

Read moreI have been to Le Chocolat several times before, and my experience with them has been positive. However, the service I received today was very disappointing and unprofessional. My friend and I were seated by the windows and were given menus by the hostess in the late afternoon. We were sandwiched by two other parties. We decided what we wanted to order and waited for over 20 minutes for the server to take our orders. During this time, the server came around two to three times and only asked the other two parties about their food etc. while completely ignoring us with her back turned.
We tried to get any servers' attention and make eye contact just to make it clear that we have not ordered yet. I wouldn't have minded if the place was packed or busy, but it was not crowded at the time, with several empty tables in the room. If it was a long wait after our orders were placed, I wouldn't have felt this upset.
We ran out of patience when two other people who arrived 10-15 minutes after us were promptly seated, ordered, AND received their food in the span of 5 minutes before we even had a chance to talk to the server (we already had waited over 20 minutes at this point). The breaking point was when the server came back. She addressed the two parties to the left AND right of us with her back turned to us the entire time. Then she left swiftly before we even had a chance to get her attention. It was after this moment that we realized we were deliberately being ignored and would likely not be served for a long time, if at all. We decided this was not worth our time, so we stood up and left.
The service today was VERY unprofessional and disappointing. I don't think I will come back...
