Very bizarre and disappointing experience⌠left with no piercings. My sister and I went to get a few ear piercings for her birthday, got there around 6:08. The front desk girl was very sweet and helpful, she asked us what we were looking to have done, let us know they have a 3 piercing maximum per person and prompted us to scan the QR code to book an appointment. We booked appointments for 6:15 and 6:30. The front desk gal notified us there was only one nurse there and that she was not trained on the piercing that I had wanted. (thatâs fine I was more concerned with my sister getting her piercings on her birthday) We were told the nurse was on her break and would be with us at our appointment time of 6:15. The nurse (red hair believe she is the manager as well yikes) comes out around 6:25 does not introduce herself or anything. She asks my sister what she wants, my sister shows her and has the jewelry picked out⌠she then says she doesnât have time to do 3 piercings⌠(even though the front desk girl said 3 was fine and they donât close until 8pm!!) The nurse was very strange rolled her eyes and was very rude when my sister showed what she wanted (very normal piercings double, triple, and cartilage) She then says she is going to take 2 walk-ins that came after us that were not supposed to be until 6:45/7:00 the guests had even reiterated they were not in a rush and were here after us and said they could walk around the shops and come back in after. The nurse insisted she took them first because she did not have time to do the 3 piercings for my sister⌠However she did the two other guests who got 2 piercings each. We had said it was her birthday and that we had a dinner reservation and asked if she would be done with the other 2 guests in time. By 6:50 after not being acknowledged by the nurse and being blatantly skipped over we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. Itâs very unfortunate as it was my sisters birthday and she had been wanting this done for a long time and traveled very...
Read moreI would highly discourage going to this place. While my daughter got her first ear-piercings at a local jewelry store in Wheaton at an affordable rate and without incident, we went here because of the advertised ânursingâ expertise for her second ear-piercings. In short, the posts they used were too small, and one of her ears became infected. Nine days after our visit, we ended up at Northwestern Urgent Care where they had to dig inside my daughterâs lobe to remove the post. The nurse there also noted that just because sheâs an RN does not mean sheâs immediately qualified to pierce ears. All of this led to a $50 urgent care visit in addition to the $140 we were charged at Rowan (including a hidden cost for cleaner that we were told would be complimentary). When we attempted to go to Rowan to get a refund and to inform them of what Urgent Care said about why my daughterâs ear became infected, we were redirected and given a corporate email and number because the store we visited said theyâre unable to handle refunds. We will never recommend this place, and I hope others do their research before...
Read more3rd time at this location and will absolutely be back. Iâve gotten 4 piercings this year at Rowan, 3 of which were done by Amy at Naperville. She is hands down the best. Super fun to talk to which helps distract from the slight discomfort about to take place. She takes her time with you to make sure youâre going to love the earring and placement. I have 13 ear piercings now and I know more are to come. Leslie was the other nurse there that night and is great as well. I had to downsize and tighten some earrings and she did those for me. She was very gentle and careful making sure nothing pinched or was uncomfortable. I know she will be awesome when sheâs able to do needle piercings just by her demeanor and how attentive she was to how I felt. Rowan in Naperville with Amy and Leslie is definitely my go to for any future...
