My fiance and I moved out to the suburbs (Naperville) back in February of this year. After spending 12 years in the city, we were dying for a "go to spot" for our pizza place. After trying to not so any good choices, we decided to take a chance on Little Italian Pizza West and we have never been happier!! We've had there thin crust along with the deep dish and its so GOOD! We order from them weekly for our pizza/wine date night at home and it tastes better each and every time. And honestly, every employee interaction we've ever had at this place has been absolutely amazing. Kudos to the team here! Amazes me how this place even get lower than a 5 star rating. To all the 2/3 star haters, find somewhere new! Take the negative complaints elsewhere. We all have to support businesses like this. Mom and pops. We help this out as much as we can each week! :) Keep it up team! Thank you for all the hard work, delivery consistency, customer service positivity and overall experience which leaves us happy as can be! - Neighbors down the...
Read moreJust ordered through Doordash. 10in sausage and pepperoni [good], mozzarella sticks [nasty, insides tasted like old grease], jalapeno poppers [average at best, again the grease taste, and they came with marinara instead of ranch and there was no option to choose], Antipasto salad [meh], and italian beef [meat and bread were good, there was no option for hot giardiniera it came with bell peppers that weren't marinated]
I sensed a problem when the doordasher contacted us saying that the restaurant did not prepare the food ahead of time. The dasher had to place the order and then wait for it to be finished. That means we basically had to wait twice. There was an option for cherry coke and they were out so she got us regular coke.
This is not a doordash review, I've had my share of bad experiences with them, but if not for the driver trying to salvage this experience it would have been completely horrible.
There are PLENTY of pizza places around here, and we won't be bothering with this one again...
Read moreI've been to the Little Italian Pizza West now about 4 times and it is a good pie. I would say it is on pair with other Chicago Style Pizza establishments attempting to hit the New York Style or Sicilian Style Pizza.
Let's start with the sauce. The sauce is good but I find it just a bit too acidic and it really needs be balanced just a touch.
The toppings. I would say that they are standard fair for toppings with generous cheese. I ordered several toppings including peppers on my pizza and originally I couldn't see the peppers. They were minced pretty fine and I'm debating on whether or not I liked it. On one hand you get better coverage but then you don't get the contrast of texture from the pepper. Torn.
Overall, I would visit the place again but I would really love them to lean in on a New York Style Pie. Thin crunchy slice with slightly...
