I would not recommend getting food from here after my first (and last) experience today. Ordered delivery through the restaurant. The prices were outrageous (see the additional $1.99 charged for banana pancakes and the picture of what I received for it. A JOKE). There are so many fabulous pictures of GOOD portions of fruit on pancakes that look delicious, and this was such a disappointment. Per lb. costs make this more than 4 times mark-up (and that's on the cheap side!) Plus, the pancakes were very lackluster. I was expecting better taste and quality from the cake themselves.
I absolutely can NOT justify the chicken add-on for an omelette. $3.99?!! You can buy a POUND of chicken for $3.99, and this was maybe 2 ounces of dry, unseasoned breast with a very 'off' aftertaste- like it was cooked on a charred grill from previously burned food. I don't know why they charge twice the price as other meats (like ham) that cost nearly the same for them.
The portions on the pictures from in the restaurant look bigger too for sides.
My husband's Eggs Benedict "was just OK." He gets this frequently when we get breakfast and he wouldn't order it again from here. Sauce 'meh.' The proportion of ham to egg/sauce wasn't correct for a good benedict.
Two more odd things in regards to ordering: I phoned this order in to make sure that it was correct, as their site offered different things than grub hub and all the prices seemed to be different from all other delivery options, some omitting chicken competely. The person that took the order couldn't give me a total before charging my card. That was very strange and I let it go, assuming that I'd be getting good quality food, regardless of price. Secondly, I'm a pumpkin pancake fan and asked if they had any pumpkin specials or options and was told "no." However, after looking back to the delivery order by phone, they do list pumpkin as a fruit/topping...but after seeing what "banana" gets you for fruit with pancake what do they do...glob a tablespoon of pumpkin puree on top? ick
Waste of good money and would never recommend them. I have no idea HOW they have so many good reviews. Over-priced &...
Read moreMy husband and I love eating out, and we’ve been to a number of restaurants over the years and don’t stay loyal because we haven’t been to one that has touched our hearts or appetites. We happened upon Eggcited in Naperville when the restaurant we initially we going to dine at was shut down for good. So we looked up best restaurant nearby and up came this restaurant. I am not a try a new place kind of person, because we’ve been disappointed so many times before, but walking into the restaurant the atmosphere and front desk ladies with the smiles on there faces was so inviting. We were seated and the attentiveness of the wait staff was so impressive. The menu has everything your in the mood for and so much more. That was months ago.....I have been a “regular “ ever since. We have had almost every waiter and waitress, because we go twice a week at least. We’ve tryed so many things on the menu and omg , when I say the food is delicious, I mean it. Fresh, hot, and always tastes amazing.... the Malibu Chicken has to be my absolute favorite. They make everything exactly to my specifications, I am a super picky eater, and it’s always just how I ordered it. We’ve had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owner and I must say, one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and what pride he takes in running his restaurant to the best of his ability and it shows. If you haven’t tryed it yet, please stop in and see for yourself, you won’t be dissatisfied. It’s so good, that it was my last restaurant in 2018 to enjoy and my first to enjoy in 2019. Thank you for making us feel like family every time we come to...

Went for breakfast today with family and found hair in food - this time in the cinnamon pancakes (same thing happened last time we went. Read review below)
Told the waitress about it and she said: “I don’t see it but I trust you “ . Then we could hear her talking to the cook in the back saying “this is black hair and I’m blonde so it’s not mine “.
No apologies to us about the hair. The new pancakes come out and these look burned. We don’t say anything anymore. Not sure what else to say if they’re not willing to admit the service issues. Disappointing.
To top it all off, they automatically add a 20% tip in the check even though we were only 5 people.
This will be our last time here 👎
—- This is a really good breakfast place overall. Having said that, I think their success and the amount of traffic they get has been a bit difficult for them to cater to.
Food that we got: veggie Skillet very berry french toast strawberry cheesecake pancakes tinga Chipotle omelette
The food is always very good, but there are nuances here and there that I notice. For example, today our coffee tasted a bit burned, we also found a small piece of hair in one of the items we ordered. When we pointed it out, they were apologetic and swiftly got us a new plate.
Once again, overall a very nice place with good people and service, if you keep your expectations average then the place...
