We are huge fans of Stans Donuts. So far, we have been to Chicago, Schaumburg, and Rosemont location. Today, we stopped by the Naperville one and had a great experience. When we arrived, we noticed the drive thru was closed. Which was fine because we wanted to see the inside since it was just opened. Upon entering, we were greeted. Went to pick out some donuts. They offer regular size donuts as well as mini donuts. This way if you are not sure about a flovor you can get the minis. Although not all flavors are in mini form. The lady who helped us pick out donuts was very nice and friendly. Afterwards went to the counter to get some drinks too. I got a vanilla cold brew coffee and a Iced mocha. Everything tasted exactly like the other locations we have been to. I'm super excited to have a Stans in the Fox Valley area. Whichever location we drive to, it takes us two hours to get there. But I'd rather drive to the Naperville location now. They also offer a rewards program, so make sure you sign up for that to get some great perks. Thank you for the great service. We definitely felt welcomed and will be back whenever we are in...
Read moreStan’s Donuts just opened in Naperville on Saturday, and I went in on Monday excited to try them. That excitement quickly turned to disgust. There were flies walking all over the donuts in their display case. When I pointed it out, the employee said, “It’s just a display, not real donuts” — yet moments later, I saw her grabbing donuts from that same display to give to customers. This is absolutely unsanitary and unacceptable, especially for a brand-new store. When I brought it up to the manager, she was dismissive, saying, “What am I supposed to do? The door is open.” She then suggested I point out which donuts the flies had landed on so she could pull them from the case. At that point, there were two flies hovering and crawling — they’ve likely been on all of them.
The attitude from management was just as bad as the hygiene issue. Brushing it off as “just a fly” ignores the fact that flies carry bacteria and disease. For a business that just opened in our community, this was deeply disappointing. I even took photos of flies sitting on their donuts — and...
Read moreThe one thing I can always say about Stan’s is that they’re consistent—and that consistency makes all the difference when I decide where to spend my money.
There’s nothing like fresh donuts paired with good customer service. Add a genuine smile, and it’s a winning combination. At Stan’s, I can always count on the first, usually the second, and more often than not, the third.
Patience is another must-have here—not because of the staff, but because the selection is so vast and everything looks so good that it takes me a few minutes to decide. My personal goal is to stick to no more than three donuts, but narrowing it down is always a challenge. Thankfully, the cashiers are usually more than happy to playfully tempt me into grabbing “just one more.”
I walk in with willpower and walk out with a box. That’s just the...
