Good food, clean environment, and amazing service. I cannot say enough about the staff. The young man on the register was friendly and attentive. When my buddy and I were leaving the store I needed a lid. I made a gesture and my buddy reached for the exit door and it closed. Not concerned, I said forget it and the staff member sprinted out to ask what I needed. He proceeded to let me in the exit and hustle back to grab me a lid. The woman engaging customers and bussing tables was also super attentive and friendly. Even though I was right next to the garbage can she was constantly make sure we had what we needed while clearing our table.
The chicken was awesome, sauces were awesome, ribs were very good, but I thought the moist brisket lacked smoke flavor. My buddy had it in sauce and it tastes like sloppy joe. It was however good quality and moist. Definitely the best brisket I've had from a chain restaurant.
It's really upsetting that everything appears to go straight into the garbage. I love the commitment to the military in theme and charity, however failing to preserve and protect our nations resources at home through negligence and wastefulness seems like a selfish slight to our men and women that fight to protect us and our nation. That's not to mention such wastefulness is lazy, costs tax payers $$$, and doesn't support our economy thought the purchase and sale of...
Read moreWe stopped in to check it out. We were greeted with warm hospitality by John. John walked us through the menu, and made suggestions. After we ordered, our food was served quickly. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful the food was. We had a 3 meat sampler platter. We chose the Jalapeno cheddar sausage, The smoked turkey, and The pulled chicken. They were all flavorful and good and the turkey was super tender. There are six sausages to choose from. I liked the sweet heat of the tupelo sauce and my fiance enjoyed the Chicago suite BBQ sauce I liked the sweet heat of the tupelo sauce and my fiance enjoyed the Chicago suite barbecue sauce. If you try this place out, do yourself a favor and try the broccoli salad. It's not at all what you think it might be and it's really flavorful and good. The baked beans with brisket were outstanding. John brought us over a complimentary two portions of sweet potato pie,, which was really very good. Since we don't live in the area, we took a couple sandwiches to go so we don't have to cook for later. Before we left Josh who made our sandwiches was really nice and thank us for coming by. On our way out of the door. Adam, the general manager stopped by and chatted with us. All in all, we felt really comfortable and had great food and a great experience. Do yourself a favor if you're in the mood for some good barbecue, stop by...
Read moreMission BBQ is a fantastic place. They honor our veterans and first responders above all and go out of their way to ensure that anyone who has served our country knows that they are appreciated and not forgotten.
At noon every day the entire staff pauses to recognize the National Anthem and encourages everyone in the restaurant to do the same.
The decor is comprised of photos, patches, and memorabilia honoring our nation's first responders.
At my local Mission BBQ, the managers Keith & Joanna make sure that everyone feels welcomed and leave with full bellies knowing they've been served by people who appreciate their business.
All of this, and I haven't even mentioned the food yet! The food is above the call! Genuine slow-cooked BBQ. I love the brisket (moist is my favorite, but you can get lean if you wish), the pulled pork is terrific, and the chicken is awesome as well. There is always a seasonal dessert to go along with your meal, and the sides are super as well. My personal favorites are the baked beans, mac & cheese, and the cold slaw (yes, I said cold, not cole, that's how they present it!)
If you were in doubt as to if you should stop by Mission BBQ, go.
If you're a patriot at heart, go.
If you want to feel welcomed and appreciated for your patronage, go.
