Shake Shack Naperville — Restaurant in Naperville

This was our first time ordering from this location. We ordered for pick up and took the food back home. It wasn't until after dinner and cleaning up after my toddler I was rinsing out the cups that our milkshakes were in before placing in the recycling that I found a sticker that says to hold crispy onions for two hours in the bottom of his milkshake cup. I know it was completely random that my toddler was the one that got this sticker inside his milkshake but it's extremely upsetting because this is my child with not a fully developed immune system. My husband, coming from restaurants, understands that accidents on orders happen however something like this is a huge accident and violates safe food handling practices. The most concerning part is this sticker was dated Wednesday! This sticker was somewhere else in the restaurant/kitchen before it was put in the cup and milkshake poured over it. Did the worker just ignore it? How could one not see it when the cups are see-through? I understand that workers are paid minimum wage and they might not care and honestly if it was just a wrong order it wouldn't be such a big deal but this is completely...

To order online takes longer to get your food. Order in restaurant with live person as ordering online or kiosk apparently puts your order at last priority.

Ordered 15 minutes ahead of time, then headed to restaurant and waited another 20 minutes to get order.

Then, when received ordered, sat in a booth to eat and order was WRONG—forgot bacon, for instance and also ordered NO sauce and sauce was on the burger.

Spoke directly with manager and she apologized and said she’ll do order again and had to wait another 15 minutes—-keeping in mind this establishment is a “fast” food restaurant.

Food was lukewarm when received not hot. Place of establishment was clean, well-lit. Washroom could’ve been cleaner. Toilet paper on ground as well as sink area wet and water on all over counter. Shake was ok, nothing to brag about. Supposedly serve “custard” but didn’t taste as “custard-like” as Andy’s, for instance. Burger made similar to Steak and Shake; burger a bit salty.

Overall, a C+ experience and on a scale of 1-10, a 5….nothing to brag about for the price you pay. Quality mediocre and definitely fits the criteria of a...

The food isn’t fresh! I ordered the avocado burger with nugs and fries!. Everything was ice cold! And the avocado was really brown! Please go to SMASHBURGERS instead! **UPDATED!!!
