Larry's Lunch Box — Restaurant in Naples

Ordered take out to be done at a specific time. It was ready when I showed up. Got to appreciate that. I had the Paul’s Popular Pursuit with corned beef. Wow. One of the better sandwiches I have had in a while. It might be a day or two before you are hungry again, but really a great find. Others in my party liked theirs as well. Seems like a nice little gem.

Had to add to this. Tried Larry’s again. Had the same sandwich (from the same location), and it wasn’t the same. Not bad, but not great. The bread wasn’t toasted (they seemed crowded and backed up) and there was less sauce, less everything but corned beef (which was somewhat too much to begin with). I am sad this is less of a gem than I thought. The system of taking phone orders while the line is out the door seems, well, it sucks. I get it that this place is old fashioned, but really either embrace web ordering or deal with those that are...

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF. - Will NEVER return to this place. Food is OK, however when I pay $10.00 for a deli sandwich , I expect to be treated with a little respect. Walked in around lunch time to place a to go order. Place was only moderately busy - was not acknowledged, and waited for five minutes before asking for my order. The guy behind the counter stated "that will be $30.00 even ". Gave him a $50.00 bill, and gave me back a crisp twenty. I looked at the screen on the cash register, and the total indicated was $29.64. What the guy lacks in math skills, he makes up with rounding up skills. After we ordered, we were standing inside the deli, and the lady behind the counter asked us to wait outside - in the 90 degree weather... Would have cancelled, however we were in a hurry. Larry, you need to teach your staff some manners - they are costing...

Only come here if someone else is paying-- ABSURDLY Overpriced!

I went on a weekday for lunch. I wanted a sandwich with a drink and a few fries. Should cost 12 bucks or so, right?

WRONG!

Reuben- $12.50 Fries (sold seperately)- $4.00 Can of Soda- $2.50 Tax- $1.14

Total- $20.14

20 bucks...for a sandwich...for lunch...in a hole in the wall deli...in a crappy plaza (rent cant be THAT high)...with dirty bathrooms?

They should be ashamed of themselves.

The food: The Reuben- It was pretty good. probably in the 70th percentile of all reubens I have ever had. 7/10

The fries- tasteless frozen crinkle cut fries. But hey, at least they gave me about 8 pounds of them. 2/10 (at least they were hot and fresh)

Soda- Dr. Brown's Cream Soda-...
