So my girlfriend and I used to come here every weekend, the food was good, the drinks were magnificent, and the atmosphere was cozy. However last time we went the supposed manager took our order. My girlfriend ordered the cup of love and asked for almond milk instead. The manager in one of the most condescending tones we have heard asked my girlfriend if she even knows what a cup of love is. My girlfriend went to explain her understanding of it but got cut off by the manager who proceeded to explain like my gf was a 3 year old that a cup of love is made with half and half and nothing else and asked why she doesn't just order a latte (we dont work as a barista so why would we know what everything on the menu should be made as? She has ordered the cup of love with almond milk multiple times and it has never been an issue). So then my gf goes to order a latte with the "dark chocolate" but gets cut off again and the manager still talking to her like she doesn't know anything and in her condescending tone says "that's called a mocha" and then goes on to talk about prices and how ordering the mocha latte is cheaper anyways and pointing at herself with pride goes "I think its cheaper, but I am the manager so I should know my menu". She then proceeds to compare a mocha latte with a cup of love with almond milk to prove her point (no one was arguing with her so she just felt the need to prove it to us) and turned out to be wrong anyways. The cup of love with almond milk is cheaper than just ordering a mocha latte for everyone's reference.
But we have not returned since this interaction as this manager's finger pointing at us and hand movements, her condescending tones, and what seemed like a superiority complex ruined our experience and destroyed our want to enter the establishment out of not wanting to deal with her again. She turned what could've been a simple 30-second convo explaining the difference between a cup of love and a regular latte into a 5-minute lecture.
If it wasn't for her this place would still be a 5-star in our book. And while we were waiting for our drink we overheard multiple other people talking about the manager and her tone while taking their order one person even noting that it was not a good start...
Read moreI love this place! The coffee is always spot on. I usually get a cappuccino in the colder months and the cold brew in warmer months - I have yet to be disappointed. This coffee house captures what I love most about Nashua: the intact original architecture that's been repurposed with a modern flair. The fireplace in the center of the main room really adds a cozy feel as does the warm lighting. When you sit, point your eyes skyward and enjoy taking a gander at the stained glass window on the upper level. They recently opened up a back room that added even more space to the cafe. Even the bathrooms have a cool look to them lol.
The service staff are always friendly and kind. My only complaint is how busy this place gets on the weekend, which is a testament to how popular the cafe is. Despite the constant influx of people, it never feels crowded or like you can't hear yourself think. The space absorbs sound well which keeps the atmosphere feeling intimate, no matter how many people come in.
I definitely recommend checking this place out and getting a bite to eat, some coffee or even taking some of their whole bean coffee home with you (which supports a...
Read moreThe ambience is absolutely wonderful. The vibe is great and it's a very welcoming place. It's a great place to have breakfast and work. The staff here is so warm and welcoming. I have tried the German chocolate mocha, the Milky way, Peppermint O' Patty in the signature lattes and all turned out to be amazing.
Bagels with cream cheese is simply epic. In the crepes, I have tried out the Garden Vegetable in the savory section, the Strawberry & cream and Banana foster sweet crepes section. In the sandwiches, I have tried the Avocado toast which turned out to be simply superb. The egg n cheese sandwich and the bon's Belgian waffles are so yummy. All of the items I have tried there are tasty and price worthy.
On top of that, the service is quick and hassle free. It's a must visit place for morning breakfast/ brunch if you ever visit Nashua, NH.
Lastly, the washrooms are so clean and tidy. I have attached pictures of the foods along with this review...
