We visited back in February, so while I know many people rave about the outdoor seating and plane views, we weren’t able to experience that part due to the time of year. I held off posting right away because I didn’t want to be too reactionary, but now that some time has passed, here’s my honest take — broken down by pros and cons:
✅ Pros: ✅ Convenient location (close to home) ✅ Cool setting near the airport — I can imagine summer outdoor dining would be fun with the planes taking off ✅ Server was lovely — warm personality, attentive, and prompt ✅ Quick service — no delays in taking or delivering our order ✅ Affordable — actually one of the lower price points we’ve seen for breakfast lately (though now I understand why)
❌ Cons: ❌ Very tight and noisy interior in winter — not ideal if you have sensory sensitivities or prefer some space ❌ Minimal walking space; seating is cramped (especially at the bar) ❌ Bar seating gave a full view into the kitchen — which, unfortunately, raised major health code concerns ❌ Questionable cleanliness and food safety practices visible from our seats (I have a food service background and honestly should’ve walked out) ❌ Not easy to find or well-marked if you’re a first-timer — a little confusing to locate ❌ Pancakes were massive but raw in the center — quantity over quality ❌ Eggs tasted artificial — like liquid eggs, not real ❌ Home fries were undercooked and under-seasoned ❌ Overall food quality was disappointing — we both left unsatisfied and haven’t felt the urge to return

I know some people love this place, and I truly wanted to as well. But for us, the food missed the mark too much to outweigh the positives — especially when there are so many other great local breakfast...
Read moreI purchased a flying lesson for my husband nearly 10 years ago for a 40th birthday present at the Nashua airport and starting visiting Midfield Cafe to see his flying lessons. The food was good, the atmosphere relaxing, and the view over the airport field is fantastic if you get a window seat or sit out on the deck in the summer/nice weather. I would guess 85 % of the seats have a view through a window. When my son was born, I would visit the airport with him to have a break and relax. The place changed hands twice during the last 10 years and did have some adjustment to the menu and staff during the transitions, but the location, relaxing atmosphere and view has been a constant. The original owner sold the place and then purchased it back. The quality of the food dipped when she sold the place and then improved when she purchased the cafe back. My son has enjoyed growing up watching planes fly, coloring the airplane pictures Sandy offers (with crayons), and gobbling up her food when he was big enough to eat. He now loves the specials she offers. I've never had issues with any of the food, it has always been very well cooked and very, very good diner food. Ten years later, my husband is still flying (a plane he co-owns) and we're still enjoying our visits to Midfield Cafe for an enjoyable breakfast or lunch. It is off the beaten path. If you want a different place to visit, check it out. Highly...

I'm not a local or a regular. When we first got here there weren't any seats, then a table open up and we were seated. The table wasnt cleaned or re-set before we were seated, and took almost 10 min to be asked what we wanted to eat, not to mention we weren't asked if we wanted coffee or something to drink first. The table still wasn't cleaned until I asked the very young waitress to remove the trash from the table. We weren't given any utensils during this time either until my boyfriend asked for some, even after he received his meal FIRST, which by the way, he ordered the french toast plate with two eggs and toast and what he received was basically a child's plate. Smhh!!! Unfortunately I couldn't finish my food because I was so disgusted with the service of this place and the food wasn't even that great. Definitely not coming back while there are other places I could get a better meal and...
