You will never be disappointed sushi lover or not. Some background: early 20's thought I HATED sushi so when my sister, husband, and his friend went out I barely ate...that was until my sis introduced me to Dynamite Sushi in Hudson and dared me with some cash as incentive. Shortly after I moved to AZ and there are sushi places on almost every corner but they slather it in sauce to mask the sawdust taste (or complete lack of taste). Moved back and was depressed Dynamite closed. Tried a few other local places then came Yoshimama. I ordered so much because I couldn't decide my bill was just under $100 but we'll worth it. Have yet to try anything that isn't spectacular, fresh, and leaves u wanting more even when u r stuffed. Neither of my parents like the idea of sushi so theyve been trying the Teriyaki dishes. I have to say, teriyaki isn't my favorite but when I tasted my dad's order the first time it was better steak than I've had in Boston. Even better it easily makes 2 meals. My mom has had both beef and chicken and same reaction. Only a slight negative is the price but I assume it's because everything is exceptionally fresh and I'll happily pay a bit more for the freshest around. Service is always on point, I've never had to wait, and everyone who works there is happy.accomodating and pleasant. Such a nice change! If u haven't yet, try Yoshimama. Perfect for the couple where only one half is a sushi enthusiast! (No judgement there )
Tako, my.yelp app won't let me update but exactly why I thought it was more expensive but hey, who cares when the food is so incredibly and always consistent. 20 orders in 14 months and...
Read moreI usually love the sushi here but was really disappointed with how the cucumber still had skin on it. It wasn’t a thin skin, it was very thick and hard. In a hand roll with a lot of cucumber in it, this is especially obvious. This is not how they used to do it! I barely remember the soft avocado. Please peel the cucumber skin! I don’t like the pesticides, the antinutrients and especially dislike the plastic texture. It was hard in my throat and very unpleasant. It took away from the texture of the salmon and the avocado. It was also too finely julienned so that some pieces were all cucumber skin. Had the skin been peeled, this would not have happened. Also, with a hand roll, it’s important to have the fish run the length of the cone, not square chunks all at the top with the bottom being all rice. Difficult to eat. The cucumber skin was so bad I am not sure I will ever get it again. Sushi is too expensive for it to have this fairly large error. Really disappointed as this is our go to and this was just not their usual standard. Will not be going back quickly after this. Also disappointed with how the server dropped the food and ran away without asking if we needed anything else, I had to catch her to ask for what I needed. Didn’t care for all the masking, either. Wasn’t like that last time. Service with a smile is part of what I’m looking for when dining out. The cucumber...
Read moreI've been coming here for a few years. I'll have lunch as often as once a week, and occasionally dinner, usually with friends or family who are just as impressed as I am.
Food: The sushi is the best part, and is the freshest in Nashua (closely followed by Shanghai Osaka and Takumi, and much better than YouYou, San Francisco Kitchen, or Thousand Crane). Dinner entrees are great. Lunch Bento boxes are good, but not excellent like the rest. Everything is very well priced for the quality, especially the lunch menu. Drinks are the standard fare for an Asian restaurant, good cocktails and beer for a modest price.
Setting: Small, but very clean and stylish, it's very thoughtfully set up to make best use of the size and doesn't feel crowded. Music is subdued and unobtrusive in style and volume. I'm not a fan of having TVs around when eating, but the two they have aren't in-your-face. The bar is very nice granite, and the wall behind it is aesthetically set up.
Staff: Polite, friendly, positive, and professional. I've never been disappointed. Some have a moderate accent, but are comprehensible and I honestly don't mind this at all, they are patient and make an effort...
