Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

First visit, food was great, but order was inaccurate, place was messy, and customer service was bad. It was busy, so I get waiting a bit for our food, it was probably around 15-20, but it was also kinda small?? I’m guessing they have a lot of to-go orders. When we got our food, one sandwich was the wrong size, but we didn’t get a receipt when we ordered or with the baskets of food. When I went to the ordering area to politely ask for a receipt to double check and maybe order another sandwich to go, the woman (who was texting on her phone), told me that she didn’t have time to find it and told me to look at all the order tickets she needed to get to. I said ok, and she just walked off repeating ok back to me. You don’t put that on the customer, I wasn’t being rude by inquiring about my order being wrong, which may have just been heard wrong by the kid who took our order, it was loud and we had to repeat ourselves when ordering. Just not the way to handle the situation. We finished eating and walked out as other staff members were kicking trash under tables. It just wasn’t a great experience and we probably won’t be going back. My first experience andddddd I would totally come back! I didn’t know about this place until I saw the $25 for $50 discount gift cards on Nashville’s best deals. Doing my research I immediately saw the great reviews and I had to come try. I thought it’d be THC infused options but it’s really just THC inspired lol. Upon arrival, the parking is actually on the side of the store instead of in front so you have to walk the sidewalk to the restaurant. The place was smaller than I expected, but there’s a sandwich assembly line right in front and the bar/tables on the side. Very cool atmosphere and decor. I decided to order at the bar and sit outside on a beautiful day. Terrance at the bar is super cute, sweet and buff 😆 he took great care of me! He gave great recommendations. I got 2 nugs (prices not on the menu, I thought that was interesting) Kali Mist and the Acapulco gold- both really good! And also the cool ranch Doritos 😎 idk why I thought they had fries but they don’t and that’s okay. They have a cinnamon toast crunch rice Krispy treat here and I’ve yet to eat it bc I’m so full but it looks yummy! The food is great and it is reasonably priced. The staff is great and super friendly. Highly recommend.

My only complaint is how they do carry out. They put the carry out on a shelf and have numerous signs telling customers not to touch the orders. Thus, people come in to pick up their to-go order but they can't check to see if their food is ready. The employee who hands out the to-go orders to customers also does all the "running" (deliveries) of food to the busy dine-in seating, and so when it is busy, this person is way too busy and food ends up sitting on the to-go shelves for a long time while customers are standing there. I often see people standing there for 10-15 minutes while their food is ready (and getting cold) on the to-go shelves. What makes their current process worse is there is no communication between the person who bags the food and the person who is suppose to hand out the to-go orders. Thus, food is often put on the shelf by the bagger and sits there.

It is not difficult. 1) Just let people see if their food is ready when they arrive and 2) have the person bagging the food call out the name of order when it is ready so people can get their food when it's hot.
