Worst restaurant experience EVER. I never write reviews, but this was the most horrific display of unprofessionalism I have ever witnessed. Every single dish we ordered came out wrong, one of us didn’t get our food until 30 minutes after everyone else, and another one of us never got our food at all. The server offered to take all of the food off of the bill, which we were super thankful for. However, when we went to leave, the bartender, who had just arrived for her shift, confronted us aggressively and asked why we didn’t pay for the food. We explained that the server took it off our bill, and she proceeded to yell at us for eating the food. In order to avoid further confrontation, we left the restaurant and she proceeded to chase us down the street cursing and waving the bill at us (which we paid in full). We have written other reviews, which they responded to by FALSELY stating that we walked out without paying. We would have been happy to pay, but if a server offers to take something off your bill, why would you refuse that? The bartender needs a lesson on professionalism in the workplace and general manners, because as you can see from their catty response, they have zero tact when dealing with customers. We also went to several neighboring establishments, where we received confirmation that El Mojito is a shady place and the business would likely not last long. Also, there...
Read moreFirst the waitress/bartender ignored us as we entered. She was too busy drinking with the men at the bar. I ordered the shrimp fajita, as I was about to finish I felt something sharp in my mouth. It was a piece of metal from the cleaning tool used to clean the the flat iron. The cook didn't have the courtesy to come out and face his error. The response I received from the waitress was "the chef said to excuse him as it came from a cleaning tool." They didn't offer a discount, but had the nerve to ask if we wanted anything else! I stated "not after finding a piece of metal in my food!" Finally, the waitress came to clear the table. My sister proceeded to ask if there would be a discount. The waitress stated because there was barely any food on the plate, they wouldn't be discounting anything. The point is I could've been seriously hurt! First and...
Read moreWhat good is any food if the restaurant doesn’t provide an atmosphere that diners enjoy? That is the biggest problem. The apparent manager seems pretty lazy. My last time in she was sitting on her but, talking on speakerphone loudly. It was incredibly rude. When asked if she was going to stay on the phone she said “No, I won’t”. Then went back on to her call and said they could go someplace else. Great idea. There are a lot of good Mexican food options around.
In response: The defensiveness in your response is all any business traveler needs to see. I was there at 8, you close at 9. Your comment was made in English, not Spanish. While personal growth takes work, I would encourage you to reflect on my feedback. ...
