Service was not good, made for a disappointing evening.

The hostess was super pleasant, and was able to find us a table earlier than our reservation. We see who we think is our server, greeting guests that just arrived at other nearby tables, and checking on guests already seated. 15 minutes later Our server finally stops by, no greeting, just a frown - but we manage to get an appetizer and drink order in.

Over the next 8 minutes, we see the server stopping by to assist their other tables, chit chat, bring drinks and appetizers. And a refill or 3. The server stopped by once - said the drinks were not ready yet. We asked to go ahead and put an order in for 2 more beverages, they repeated my order and left.

10 minutes later

Finally we get our drinks. 1 of them for sure sat in the window over 10 minutes, and was watered down. The other was not drinkable. 15 minutes later, we manage to get the attention of the sever - and ask about the other 2 beverages. They immediately and rudely say, no you never ordered those. So we put in the order, again..

Probably 10 minutes later the food arrives. The manager asks us if we need anything, we see the server scurrying over with some beverages - so hoping for the best, we say we think we are good that should be our drinks.

Well - it wasn't. It was drinks for a different table, ours is somehow still not ready.

Halfway through the meal, we finally get some warm drinks plopped on the table.

The food was ok - but not at all impressed or satisfied. The 'golden mashed potatoes' looked like they were scooped from a bucket, and left sitting for 15 minutes until there was a nice cold congealed shell on the outside, and slightly warm mashed potatoes inside. The rare filet was ok. No seasoning or under seasoned. The medium rare ribeye was a greasy mess, and more medium well.

We watch a nearby table finish their meal, and the server stop by with a smile and offer dessert or to go boxes or anything else they might need. And just a super pleasant wrap to their dinner.

Meanwhile, for us - eventually - At the end - the server didn't ask if we wanted dessert or offer anything - just plopped down the tab without a word and turned and left.

I decided to let the manager know about our experience. So I let a hostess know I would like top talk to the manager. Right away - the manager was dismissive of anything I said. When he asked for details, he interrupted me and said the server would not have done that. And then repeated that the server was great, and not sure why we didn't tell him when he assisted in bringing the food. Which I would have mentioned the 2nd drink order we also got late and warm, but he again immediately interrupted me. Instead of wasting my time, I left.

Apparently it is ok for a server to be rude and dismissive of their guests. Clearly this is what the Manager wants, because he did not care or consider any of...

This was my second time going to Darfons. My first time was fantastic with no complaints. However, this time did not live up to expectations mainly due to service.

We were celebrating a birthday and made a reservation stating this ahead of time. We arrived maybe 2-3 minutes after our reservation time and waited about 5 minutes to be sat. No problem at all. The server first came to our table about 5-8 minutes after we were sat. We were not greeted properly. The server filled our waters, dropped off the carafe, and said something along the lines of “I’ll be back in a little bit if you want to order anything.” We were not offered the opportunity to order drinks or appetizers at this time. The server also never acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday nor bothered to ask us if there was a special occasion upon this first greeting. The server came back approximately 15 minutes later. So, we sat for AT LEAST 20 minutes without being offered the chance to order starters, sodas/teas, or alcoholic beverages. Finally, we were able to order, but we had to do so all at once considering how long we had already been waiting. The server did not provide any guidance through the dining experience - no recommendations given, no explanation or spiel on the daily specials, no attempts to upsell. Overall, the server interacted very little with us, and we felt that they had come to an opinion on our table before the first greet. This was an older server, and we were a group of early-mid 20s people. We did not feel welcomed at all by this server. By the end of our meal, their demeanor had improved slightly, and it seemed their section had emptied out. We ordered dessert, there was no candle or flair of any sort added for the birthday. When other guests started saying happy birthday, the server stated they did not know there was a birthday and we should have told them. I feel that this should have been communicated amongst staff and that we should not have had to tell our server considering it was included on our reservation information. The restaurant left a birthday card on the table before we were sat which was a nice detail that we very much appreciated. The server did remove the dessert from the bill which was also appreciated. However, overall, I was not happy with the service provided, especially when compared against my previous experience when I was dining at Darfons with a different demographic of people.

The food was absolutely delicious and came out quickly. It was consistent with my last experience both visually and in taste. It was hot, fresh, and tasty. No complaints for...
