Most of us have experience in fast food, you know the walk and the talk. Service with a smile, if something goes wrong the easiest and simplest way to deal with it is to say, "Sorry to hear that, I'll be sure to tell my (MIC/Regional/ETC).
My fiancée made a simple order, everyone was nice, including the man behind the microphone. It was dark out and she took the turn a little too hard. Long story short a solid steel bollard planted right on the side of the turn popped her mirror off. Legally nobody has liability here, that is usually how bollards work, they total your car and nobody is really at fault.
We get to the window and ask for the MIC, the poor guy has no idea what to say, and that is totally reasonable, we assure him it isn't anyone's fault, we just wanted to complain about the placement and vent about having a minor accident.
Shortly waiting she comes to the window, arms crossed, and instead of making eye contact, apologizing or asking if we're okay, she leans out and pretends to look back at the bollard, as if it was destroyed. Then proceeds to tell us, "Like, we wont press charges, so-" baffling. Obviously my fiancée is upset and she goes on to ask her to tell corporate they need to move it back. (Generally you space bollards a foot and a half away from traffic, the length required to get out of your vehicle in an emergency, this was not the case.) Though I hate to stereotype, she came at us with a snide teenage tone, we all know that sarcastic voice used when we were about sixteen, "Millions of people have come through and like, none of them have ever had that happened."
Suddenly this isn't about a poorly placed bollard pushing a flimsy side view mirror off, this woman agitated us and really ruined my fiancée's night.
All you have to do is smile, nod, say something to the effect of, "Sorry that happened to you, I'll be sure to tell management, see what we can get done about it. Have a good one." easy solution. In fact for a manager that is the bare minimum I can expect.
(Bollards are steel barriers, generally they will withstand a full force collision, total a car, kill all of the passengers, they're rooted with a slab of cement. They look like bowling pins, painted with yellow. Legally they prevent expensive property damage, and as a stationary object, have no liability. The flip side is that they are designed to total vehicles without more than cosmetic damage, and cost little to nothing in...
Read moreTERRIBLE! 49 minutes in the drive through line. The lobby is not open. Whoever the franchisee is on this location needs to go spend an evening here. You would be embarrassed!
When I pulled in there were 3 cars between me and the speaker and then 4 between the speaker and window.
Simple math says That’s over 7 minutes a car. The lady who presented herself as the manger at the window was very gruff and kept saying she was short staffed.
I understand the staffing issues in our current world but you should be able to beat 7 minutes a car with 2 people.
The place is truly shameful and corporate should immediately investigate the franchisee.
To beat it, all my burger was wrong and the peanut butter shake had candy debris in it.
I can only imagine if the service is this bad how Unkept the facilities are inside.
I was staying the night in town so fortunately I will never have to visit this...
Read moreThis family-owned-and-operated Dairy Queen has become my family’s go-to for when we are wanting an ice cream cone or a chicken strip basket. They are always so warm and inviting, and it’s always nice to see a business owner take pride in what they have worked hard to have. They always pay close attention to detail (with the quality of the food they serve, and also with the appearance and cleanliness of their restaurant). There’s not a single time I’ve been there and not seen them closely involved with serving their customers. The inside of the restaurant is always well-kept, and the restrooms are well-stocked and clean. Highly recommend this place. I would love to see them getting more business, they truly deserve it. Also, check out their ice cream cakes! They are made & decorated in-house, are priced unbelievably low, and are absolutely beautifully decorated! Not to...
