This isn’t your “standard” Mexican Restaurant, much closer to a Central American Restaurant. Was very interesting to see some of the offerings mirroring Filipino foods (Adobo and Bistik) that I love. The attached grocery carries a great selection of Spanish and Central American foods. First off…had to try the taco’s. Love how they use the small, doubled-up soft corn tortillas fresh off the grill. Decided to sample Carnitas, Pollo, and the Al Pastor which was chopped pork with the Adobo sauce…all with some onion and Cilantro garnish. The Pollo was a bit dry so there wasn’t much flavor there…disappointing. The Carnitas was really good, moist and flavorful. The Al Pastor was excellent with the adobo flavoring…the favorite of the three. Next was a mixed Pupusas with beans, pork, and cheese. This Pupusas was one of the best I have ever had…what really put it over the top was the vinegar cold slaw and some sauce. The Pescado Frito was a seasoned whole fish fried with rice, some “salad”, and tortillas. The fish alone was delicious and could be a meal all in itself. Placing some chunks of the fish on a tortilla with the “salad” provided was boring. HOWEVER…highly recommend getting a side of the vinegar cold slaw and putting the slaw and fish on a tortilla with a little sauce…now that was an exceptional combination! The vinegar slaw really complimented the fish…basically had a delicious fish taco! Bottom line…all of the plates were pretty much “licked clean” and we were well on our way to a lunch coma…LOL Service was great and you can’t beat the price for such great food. There are a number of other dishes I still need to try there!

This is the kinda place you don’t wanna write a review for so that it stays under the radar, but I feel too much guilt not spreading the good word, and the word is GOOD. I have eaten here countless times, it is my all time favourite restaurant I’ve ever been to. If I could eat here, and only here, until I died, it would be pure heaven. Best tacos you can get outside of that one taco truck you know of in Mexico, or just the best tacos you’ll ever have. All while being unbelievably cheap. Their pupusas give me strength to go on, their tostada de ceviche gives me faith, and their tacos continually fill my spirit. Additionally, every staff member they’ve ever had has been so kind, helpful, and joyous. I have so many priceless memories with my best friends and family here, I genuinely hope it’s the last meal I ever have. Please, do yourself a favour and go as many times as possible before your body can carry you no further, because a stomach full of Las Americas will carry over into the great beyond🙏

No much to say when you know the place since they open 20 years ago But since the founder is no there no more food goes bad Today we try some food and i just gonna put 1 comment They may run out of fresh "suadero" ( carne asada ) they may take the one already put in o the cooler for tomorrow but they don't even care to full warmer the meat when I get home there's no salsa ( my foult not to check the bag before i leave the place ) and when i open the container noticed there's no heat come out, but when i bite my taco the meat was cold as i say COLD!! COOLER COLD!! They mix cold meat with warm meat No way to eat there again

I used to visit here all the time over 3 years ago but, when I moved it ended up being too far. I finally decided to drive 30 mins because I was craving Pupusas. What a huge let down. I got 10 pupusas and they gave me half of a cup of curtido and one of a very watery red sauce... we couldn't even enjoy it because the curtido was so little and sauce was so watery so it was like eating tortillas by itself.

Now, I know inflation is high but I much rather pay more for food and actually get food. They are making them so thin with barely anything in it. When I used to eat 1 or 2 and be extremely filled up I could now eat 3 or 4 without a problem. The thinnest pupusas in history now.

I would've left one star but I left two for the sake of nostalgia. Sad to see this place...
