Flamies the hot chicken factory — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

I called in a pick up order before going in to work. I looked at the google photos that show in the overview section, After seeing what I wanted to order, I called in for a 10pc wing combo meal, I asked for the wings to be cooked well done and chose to sauce flavors. After waiting the 20mins for the food I went inside and picked up the order, after making it to my job I opened the box to eat a couple before going in and noticed the wings were breaded (which in the photo I saw there was a wing combo NAKED and a tender combo next to it.) a little confused, I called to find out if that was a mistake on their end where I was told that I should have asked for naked if I wanted naked wings. I told the man who answered the phone I didn’t know they offered breaded wings as an option or I would have ordered them naked. As a first time customer you cannot assume we know all the wings are breaded, to which he replied “well you should have asked for naked.” I do not eat breaded wings, it makes me nauseous and feeling sick because of the chicken holding in all the oil after being fried, also it has to be fried hard or I won’t be able to eat them. I asked if they would take the wings back and cook them naked or give me a refund so I can stop somewhere else and get something to eat because I am running short on time to which I was met with, “no”. I told him I just spent over $20 for this meal and I’m sure there is something that can be done and I was told there was no manager there so I would have to keep the food. After asking a couple more questions I was told to hold on he would talk to the manager and he hung up in my face.

No apology, no let me make it right, no care for the fact that I just spent over $20 in your establishment as a FIRST time customer and when I picked up the wings it was obvious that they had not been fried hard either. They were gooey. I ate the fries and threw the food away for I do not live out here and would not have time to return to the establishment in the next couple of days. My family ordered here and was given a 20min time frame until our food was done. My husband went to check on the good and was given an excuse that they didn’t receive our order which is understandable, things happen. Then he was told they were short staffed which is also understandable. 45min after our order our food was still not done and my husband asked for a refund because we were short on time and didn’t know our food would take THAT long. They gave an immediate attitude and told us we had to call a third party for a refund. My husband then wrote a review, which most likely has been deleted since I no longer see it. We decided to give our food a few more minutes since our kids were hungry. After an hour waiting for our food he went back in just to see if it was ready and the man he previously talked to then preceded to pretend like he didn’t speak English anymore and my husband was told they would not make his food since he left a bad review. I don’t understand how they were so short staffed that everyone’s food took over an hour but they had time to check their Google reviews. So we called the number for a refund and the first representative hung up on us then we called back and that representative wanted to verify with the business. The manager told the rep that he would handle it and hung up. The manager then told my husband he would not give us our money back or our food until my husband deleted his review. My husband finally got our money back after multiple attempts and truthfully some threats. Finally got to try Flamies after hearing good things and am happy to say that it was great! We got there a little after 6, and we're able to go right in and order. I got the tenders in the Flamies Hot heat level and my wife got the sandwich in the mild and we both got fries. We were told between 10-15 minutes. Our food came up probably closer to 10 minutes and all of it was straight out of the fryer hot! The fries were perfectly cooked and had a very good seasoning on them. My tenders were cooked perfectly, my opinion of perfectly cooked fried chicken is having a good crunch on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, and they were exactly how I like. The chicken had a great flavor as well, and definitely does not need ranch or any other sauce in my opinion. The Flamies Hot heat level reminded me more of medium, but they have other levels that I plan to try next time. The guy who rang us up was excellent and would ask if we needed anything while he was working on the many carryout orders that were constantly be picked up while we were there. So overall, we were really pleased with Flamies and will definitely be back, they make a great addition to the many awesome chicken places...
