Do you like Milkshakes in a 1950's style ice cream shop vibe? Or what about large crazy outrageous sugary coma looking shakes? This is the place right here in Nashville, TN. It was alittle hard to find being inside the middle center of a shopping complex but worth the scavenger hunt conquest. š¤ As I came in from a side store walking through to the middle main walkway I turned left to see a small but quaint 1950's style ice cream shop with teal round stools. I like the color teal so it was a win for me with all the chrome style all around it. I came up to the bar stools to be greeted with a smile even though she was wearing a mask š· by the server you. She gave me a menu to look at the milkshake list to see š what I might like to try. I settled on the Reese peanut butter cup, Hersey bar, M&Mrs shake. As I watched her use the old style blenders of the 1950's with all the decor from the era I couldn't help day dreaming of being back in that time with my hair slicked back. While wearing blue jeans šwhite T Shirt with a pack of cigarettes š¬rolled up the sleeve with a black leather jacket. Then she was done with the master piece bringing it over very carefully. I was in shock just looking at all the M&M carefully placed all around the cup secured to chocolate frosting. Then the mount of whipped cream with Reese cups and Hersey bars with drizzled chocolate with colorful sprinkles. The cherry on top was a nice touch too. It was time to dig in so I started with a Reese cup wow it was good. As I worked my way around the shake my endorphins were in heaven from all the goodness inside. I have to admit I couldn't finish it all on my own but totally worth it and a great place to have a date or with friends/ family. I totally recommend this place so give them a try you won't be disappointed. You bet you will leave very happy from all the sugary goodness. Tell...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI saw a lot of good Photos posted of the milkshakes on their Instagram page so I was very excited to go to Nashville and try them for the first time. But upon arrival after sitting at the bar for about five minutes I realized that you canāt order at the bar that you have to go around the corner to the āorder hereā sign to place your order and all of the workers were just staring at me sitting at the bar and didnāt offer any help. Once ordering and I specifically told the cashier that I wanted one kids strawberry milkshake and then One strawberry banana milkshake and then one sāmoreās milkshake. The total came out to about 45-ish dollars and I didnāt really question it because I assumed that it would probably be expensive. She didnāt read my order back to me which I came to realize later whenever we received 4 milkshakes and in total I only ordered three. I politely let the guy know that this is not what we ordered we only ordered three milkshakes to which he responded āwell happy birthday I guessā. When instead I wouldāve preferred to have a refund not an extra shake. The shakes were very underwhelming compared to their appearance the ice cream has barely any flavor and the toppings were not very good as well. I think that the employees need to work on having better customer service skills and communication skills. I normally donāt leave bad reviews with companies at all but this place specifically has really bothered me and has been all I can think about this past week. I think overall they are just good for Instagram pictures I donāt think they are worth the money or worth the hype you would be better going off to legendary milkshake bar and enduring the wait that they have there because they are so much better then Gracies...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were excited to see the Blue Bell Ice Cream getting stocked and decided to stop in for a shake. If you prefer to eat with your eyes you're in the right place. The menu is focused on themed shakes $13.00 with ornamental packaged goods candy stuck to a beer glass with what appears to be frosting from a jar. All good if that's your jam, but not much shake in the glass for the price. You can order a more traditional shake $7.00, we got one of each. Interestingly with the traditional shake, you get a short plastic disposable spoon rather than the long metal spoon for the themed shake, clearly second class. Oh, no service really, can't order from the bar, get yourself over to the "order here" spot. It took us some time to get that detail, none of the staff helped. So 2 shakes...the Duo-licious, and a classic gets you to $20.00, Tax and then tip, got me to $25.00. Paying a tip with the iPad prior to service seems more like a bribe than a tip, but that is another trend in FS that concerns me. Hospitality is when something is done for you not to you, I think GMB has some style...
