My experience in this restaurant was awful. Awful to the point I am considering calling corporate. We go inside to make our order, not one person came over to the register, to take our order. 2 minutes go by, then 5, then 7, until my husband asked if anyone can take our order. This rude employee (Caucasian and blonde hair) who happens to have a highly amount of attitude and I also believe racist as well. She saw us standing when we first arrived, and continued to see us just waiting without any regards to us. When my husband asked about anyone taking our order, she replied that they only have 3 employees working. Ah okay lady how is that our fault or issue in regards to your lack of workers. Moving forward, I told her okay should we go through drive thru, as we heard they were taking everyone’s order who arrived via this way. She told me it wouldn’t matter because she has customers waiting over 7 minutes, on which I replied okay but I have been waiting for over ten minutes. I told her the right thing to do was to notify us to give her a few minutes, rather than ignore we were just standing there over 10 minutes!!!! She then ignored anything we said, very unprofessional of her to ignore potential customers. I live in nyc and I visit this store whenever I am in town because o like their tacos. Sadly we walked out feeling frustrated. My husband went back hours later, to see if we can finally get some food, and she was outside smoking a cigarette. When she saw only husband, she got on her phone immediately, our assumption to notify the restaurant about us. We left because at that point we do not trust her intentions, and based on how awful she spoke to us and treated us, we cannot trust her with handling our food. Didn’t see any manager on the premises , all three employees looked at us and no one helped. So if there was a manager shame on them for not correcting the behavior of this particular employee. My husband drove 30 mins out just to get us food. A much better...
Read moreI have to share something important about Jack in the Box. I grew up in NYC, 1 block from a Jack in the Box and I loved it. So did all the kids I grew up with. We went crazy with this restaurant. So, I am admittedly very biased with my feelings.
I definitely have my favorites here. First are the onion rings. Jack in the Box mastered onion rings before anyone else really had them (1960s). Burger King came out with Onion Rings in the early 1970s but they were terrible. Minced onions instead of real, delicious rings of Vidalia onions that Jack was serving.
Next are the regular tacos. Some people hate them because they are deep fried. That's the main reason I love them so much. It creates a juicy taco that is still crunchy too. Yeah I know, it's mostly fat but for a few times a year they are irresistible to me. And I love that they use slices of cheese vs. shredded cheese. The combination of the shell, the cheese, and the unique meat flavor (and yes the grease) is just luscious.
I miss the Super Tacos. Same recipe except for using salsa sauce instead of the hot sauce. They were divine but alas, long gone.
My personal favorite sandwich from JIB wasn't even a hamburger, though I did like both the Jumbo Jack w/cheese and the Bonus Jack, which was a rip-off of the Big Mac. No, my favorite was/is the Breakfast Jack. I prefer the thin slices of ham to the thick Canadian Bacon of the Egg McMuffin, though admittedly the Egg McMuffin is my favorite item at Mickie D's.
We get Jack in the Box about 6-8 times a year which is just right. I can still enjoy many of my old favorites, and this location, while not the cleanest, is not as fast paced and as crazy as the one in Hermitage. Rated 4 stars due to some cleanliness issues, but I rate the food as 5 stars. Enjoy noshing on...
Read moreIt was absolutely terrible!! Took 10 mims at the speaker before my order was taken. After my order was taken I was told to pull around. There were 2 people in front of me waiting. They has been waiting for 45 mins (no exaggeration). There were 6 people in the store. I dont even think they all worked there. After I waited about 30 mins for my food someone finally came out with food, but not for the next person in line, oh no they served the second person in line first. So the person who was next was obviously upset and asked where his food was. He was told he'd have to wait. He told the employee he had been waiting 45mins and he was there before the people they just served. The employees became upset and started yelling at the customer. The customer then asked for his food or the money back. Well the employee came at him and took his shirt off then 2 employees jumped (both fought) the one customer.
That is bad enough, but about 15 mins after that they finally tried to bring me my food and I refused it, stating I wanted my money back. I was told I couldn't get a refund until in the morning. I had literally not eaten all day and after almost an hour and a fight I was told I'd have to go home with no refund AND no food.
I have been a manager at a couple fast food restaurants and this was not the way customer service should have been handled. If the 6 employees (they should have all been employees since the lobby was closed) could not get out a chicken sandwich and a large fry before 40 mins they should have informed me there would be a wait or close the restaurant.
On top of it there were children in the lobby and half of the employees were not wearing masks. This was a disgrace.
I finally got my money back, no food, and a migraine. I love jack in the box, but no food is...
