It’s always something with this location, whether or not the cook is asleep in her car, or the servers want to complain about DOING THEIR JOB… my time going to this Waffle House ends as of earlier this morning… I walk in around 5:30 am and respectfully asked if their seating and taking orders… I’m greeted with an annoyed waitress who is complaining that I’m standing in the spot that she just mopped… as dumbfounded as I was with such a stupid comment made, I attempted to avoid it by just stating “I don’t even see where you mopped” as it had all dried up… attempting to deflect her anger away from me standing on the ONLY ground I could stand on inside the Waffle House… she then made some stupid comment about having been there since 9pm… give me a break that’s a 9 hour shift and you’re complaining… anyways as I stood there in disbelief at her comment to me.. she just continued giving me a dirty look. I eventually stormed out and said don’t even worry about it. I work a stressful job during overnight hours, the last thing I’m going to waste my time doing is arguing with a low IQ waitress about standing on the ground she just mopped. I’m THE CUSTOMER, you cater to ME… I’m always a good tipper and I always order a big meal.. It’s always something with this location. The management is horrendous. they have a few decent waitresses but this one I’m referencing is atrocious. The cooks are typically terrible, half of the time during overnight shift they’re drugged out or just sleeping in their car when I arrive… worthless location, don’t waste your time. I’d give negative stars if they gave...
Read moreArrived about 1am and all but 3 booths were empty, one side of the store closed off, 2 cooks and 2 waitresses.. sat down and waited a solid 30 mins before anyone even spoke to us (2 of us).. when the cook (said he was the store manager too) finally came over and we mentioned how long we had been sitting there at a dirty table without even being spoken to, he said he told us they were closed when we walked in and we chose to sit down anyways.. not true!! Anyways, after bribing him with the promise of a $40 tip he agreed to take our order. He then sent one of the two waitresses over and we gave her our order.. waited another 10-15 mins for our order only to get home and find that it was wrong. . My friends order was wrong too. We both called to let them know they messed up our order and we got an answering machine that stated they werent taking to-go orders but dining room was open... i imagine many people showed up after hearing the same msg, only to be turned away because they were "understaffed" and had actually closed the dining room as well. I worked at WH many yrs ago and we ran that exact same location with one cook and two waitresses, with no problem. Ill leave out details of the two very clearly twacked out people who they let come in and sit while we were waiting on our food to get done (one cleaning several pairs of shoes w wet wipes that he had in his backpack).. they clearly had other things planned that didnt include keeping the doors open to patrons. All this on Halloween wknd too. After many years of patronizing this location, I will...
Read moreMaybe last night was an off night. One waitress, two cooks, and an order caller, or at least I think that's what he was because he was literally yelling the orders out for the cooks. Bacon overcooked Egg undercooked and runny (definitely not my egg of choice) Grits, stiff Waffles came in Jr. sizes (when we ALL know Waffle House waffles cover the plate) Hash browns were crispy french fries with a square of sandwich cheese melted on top and from the looks of it, it was a cheese of not so good quality.
Music playing in the kitchen of which we didn't mind because music is therapeutic, but in this case it was more distracting than anything because they were botching almost every order up. The poor waitress was struggling with cleaning tables, taking orders, delivering orders, and then having to go back to correct the orders. She apparently had had enough and decided to grab her purse and coat, walked out, and got in her truck to hob nob with her friends IN FRONT of the restaurant while the inside continued to fall apart. The icing on the cake? We left her a $10 dollar tip and she didn't pick it up but some scraggly person she was hanging out with at her truck walks in (not a waffle house employee) and grabs the money off the table, NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGED this because they were too busy cooking and twerking. The absolute worst waffle house I've ever eaten at in my 35+ years of eating...
