King Buffet — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Just had the worst experience I have had at ANY restaurant I've ever been to. Don't get me wrong, the food is great but if you happen to be overweight, prepare to be insulted. Here is what I mean: The previous times I have visited this place, I would oftentimes be at the buffet when one of the cooks (A middle-aged hispanic gentlemen) would come up next to me to replenish an item. At one point I thought I had heard him say "gordo" under his breath. I wrote it off as just my imagination and went on about my business. Today, I found out that my original suspicions were indeed correct. I was at the Bar when the gentlemen came up next to me to fill the fish tray. I heard "gordo", "Esta Gordo" I know enough Espanol from high school Spanish and from the many hispanic friends and acquaintances I have made through the years to now that this basically means "Fat Guy" I confronted the gentlemen and said rather calmly "Did I hear you say Gordo?" he had a sort of panicked look on his face for a moment and then went to the back again. The next time I was at the buffet, I saw him come toward me with replacement food. I went to the other side of the buffet to wait for him to finish as I didn't want to be near him at this point. Then I heard it again, "Esta Gordo". I promptly told the gentlemen at the register at this point what was going on. He states that they explained to the man that if he does it again, he's fired, but the bottom line is I cannot go back as long as I know he is working there. This man is an example of what is wrong with society and the types of prejudices that people have to withstand just because they are overweight. I assure you that if he worked for me, he would be "despedido" on the spot. I have been insulted for being overweight all my life and I am not about to tolerate this while I am trying to enjoy a quiet lunch. I left my number at the front desk and let the gentleman know that they can call me when they fire this man and I'll be happy to come back and eat with them then. DO NOT EAT HERE. If i could give this place ZEROOO stars i would. that’s what it truly deserves. we went here because my partner said that they had had it before off of somebody else’s plate at work. It was in a sketchy neighborhood. When we were walking up to the building I kept asking him. Are you sure this was the right place and he said yes.. I tell you the food is so nasty. The food was room temperature at best. The chicken did not taste like chicken and then the sushi was room temperature I took one bite of sushi and IMMEDIATELY spit it out. It was so warm and smushy and did not taste like sushi is supposed to. i took one bite of the other food we had and instantly stoped eating it but my boyfriend kept eating it. . I saw another review in here after the fact where they said, they normally have a stomach of steel, but they threw up a lot. That is was what happened to my partner.
