Overall: 3.8/5 (pick up/ to go)
The lady at the front was really nice. We told her we had to leave in 20 minutes so she suggested to go instead of dine in and recommended the chicken tenders which takes about 15-20 minutes to make. We went on a Thursday around 5:45 PM so it was happy hour. It was $2 off a boozy slushie so we got a frozen margarita.
Frozen Margarita 12 Oz ($8 HH, $10): It was pretty solid where you can taste the margarita and have it longer on your breathe but it wasn't as strong as I would have liked it to be. It's great to sip on if you get a Nashville hot chicken since it cools you down but the cup was really small.
Mild Chicken Tenders (3 for $15): We got mild since they lady said she likes spicy and the highest level she can handle is medium. We were taking a flight after this so we didn't want to risk our stomachs ( you know what I mean). The tenders were medium size, crunchy, but didn't really have any flavor to it. You don't feel the spiciness immediately but it does linger on your mouth giving it a slight tingling and then makes your stomach feel really hot afterwards. I would have liked to try medium but mild was a good level for my husband. I had to dunk my chicken in the sauces; otherwise, I wouldn't have eaten more than 1 tender. Definitely had better hot chicken elsewhere and in California. The bread was tasteless but toasted. They only give you 2 pickle slices which were good but nothing special. The piggy chips were surprisingly the best item out of everything we've ate. They were crispy, salted well, and had the bacon taste.
Chicken Liver Bam Bam ($9): I don't eat liver but it was fried so I tried it but I just couldn't handle the texture. My husband likes it but he couldn't eat the whole portion by himself. They fried the livers well since the outer coat was crispy.
White BBQ Sauce: This was a strange sauce to me. It had like a tangy taste to it so I wasn't a fan.
Tennessee Whiskey BBQ Sauce: Wow, you can really taste the whiskey in the aftertaste. This sauce is more on the sweeter side so I think it balances out all...
Read moreREAD if you're a returning customer. This place is under new ownership, and the menu has changed with a lot of favorites removed like the gritt cakes, tacos, hummus, and many others, including drinks like cheerwine. Was trying to remember everything but couldn't remember it all.
It took 20 minutes after we sat down to even get a drink order in and the food just mediocre . Was also told after ordering it would take over 30 minutes for the food because the cooks were new. This place seriously needs a "NOW OPEN AGAIN" sign to warn folks that this established restaurant is now a kids kitchen essentially. 40 minutes for food that each of the 8 of us that came only ate half or less of because i mean, my god, was it awful. Can't be having bland chicken in Nashville. The waiter came to the table a total of 4 times and expected the 18% gratuity.
It was one of the best chicken places in town, but I dont think under new ownership and not reverting back on the menu or spending time with the cooks and learning to season properly. Most of that customer base will fall off. I know we won't be back probably for some time if at y it used to be a regular place to eat for us.
Just dont go in with old expectations. The customer service and menu are just not up to par at this time.
The online menu is not correct, and the in person menus are new but have sharpie in all of them because they didn't want to reprint their typos. Something you would expect from a lower class joint and not the former established chicken place. We all know
Had to ask each time for drinks and the check.
They are also a proud advertiser of Prep. Slight turn from that family friendly atmosphere but to each there own .
Additionally, they were known for the increased heat level, and thats not a thing anymore, and heat is miniscule at best.
Tried to get everything in but if you want bad food, bad service, and waste your money. Its the place for you and...

My family and myself hit this joint for chicken, beignets and brews once a month. It’s absolutely worth the drive from the Clarksville/ Oak Grove area.
🐓The servers and bar tenders are efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.
🐓All of their food and especially the chicken is fresh and made to order.
🐓They have some of the best tasting chicken in the Nashville area, whether you prefer fried or baked and is served in many variations.
🐓Their hot sauces are definitely on par with any other wing spot or Mexican joint in the Nashville area. If you love to kick your taste buds in the mouth like me, start with MEDIUM heat first and work your way up. The servers are always willing to bring out sides of their sauces, so you can get a feel for the heat levels BEFORE smothering one all over your chicken.
🐓Mild-to-LAVA HOT heat levels: 💧Southern Fried 🔥Mild 🔥🔥Medium 🔥🔥🔥Nashville Hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥Poultrygeist
🐓Their sides are super tasty and compliment their chicken entrees pretty well.
🐓 BEIGNETS! Before I first visited this place six years ago, I had absolutely NO idea what a beignet was. It’s basically just a doughnut rolled in powdered sugar. I’m not a huge doughnut fan, but these are pretty awesome and they come in handy if you love their Nashville hot sauce. They do compliment their chicken well.👌🏻
🐓They have COKE ZERO. 😎
🐓They have two bars, one on the first floor and one upstairs on the second floor. Both levels have outdoor patios if you prefer to eat outside. They upstairs bar/ dining are facilitates live music on the, primarily on the weekends. This location also has ski ball, arcade machines and other games.
Visit one of the three locations around the Nashville area, to include inside of BNA, if you’re ready for a super chill scene, a heat- infused eatery and a fun filled...
