Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Golly where do I even start. I came here to Popeyes about a year ago, When it recently opened. I was so happy and so was everyone that is was so nice to finally have a Popeyes here where I live since KFC did us wrong, and apparently here in Popeyes it has to. When we first came here it was clean and new and people had a good sense of humor even greeting you when you once come in. I went yesterday after more then 8 months and boy has it changed. It's so unfortunate to see how bad it got. Let's start with the service and atmosphere. The service was terrible how dare you guys not even have the floor washed? It was very greasy, and so was the idering food touch screen. The floor had black mold in the corner. To make things even worse, people didn't even wear gloves while preparing the food. They would be on their phone then handle the food again, transmitting bacteria from places I don't even wanna know. They didn't have and gloves or hair nets on. We waited half an hour for food and get this, we were the only people in the store. Yea there's drive through buts usually never full. Seems like these people were only hyped up for the opening then didn't care at all again when opening. If that wasn't bad for you please continue reading. The food oh my goodness don't even get me started. I ordered a family set of 16 pieces and we bought sides. The chicken either it was legs or wings or the breast, some of them were raw, cooked, or extra cooked. Can you help me not fetch samonella because of ur fault? I'm sure one of my family members did. The food didn't go to well for him. Like, can you make up your mind and give us well cooked chicken? Is it hard to ask for you to do the job you signed up for? Then the biscuits tasted TERRIBLE BRO. Like the biscuits tasted very old. Like either if they were old or they used old butter to cook it up. Imagine going into home depot and eating the wood dust you smell in the lumber section, it's exactly like that. If you wanna imagine it real time, get the dang biscuits from here, i kid you not. When they added our rice and beans of our sides into the containers it was a mess. I am not joking to you when I say they poured it into the containers and then when some of it fell they just got a napkin and wiped it off, leaving us with a greasy container feeling, and it also looks awful. They weren't even nice no words changed when exchanging food. They didn't even give us some napkins or sauce, we had to ask for them. Please don't do the exact same thing as subway and KFC did. Please get better at working and stop hiring gen z people who don't care for the company. Pleas get people who actually want to work. Life's tough u gotta work deal with it and stop with the attitude. 4.18.24 @ about 8:15pm, days they close at 10pm. I understand some places stop frying one hour before close but I’ve had really good chicken from them before so I came to risk it with high hopes. It hits during the day when they cook the food fresh regularly, but after this experience I’d say at night be careful. First of all, The service was great, the young adults working the window were very nice. They gave us our honey and jalapeño, which honestly not every Popeyes (Antioch) has. So I was over joyed and delighted to go home with the fixings and enjoy my Popeyes. This location has been my goto since moving to Mt Juliet. But when I got home and opened the box it was clear to me this chicken was old. We asked for dark meat, usually it’s a wing, a leg, a thigh, what we got is fine. But the chicken was cold, it looked old and darker than any fresh or recently (30m-1h) cooked chicken. It looks like it’s been under the light for over 3-4h and looked very sad. This breaks my heart because 1 this place looks too good on the outside to be serving this anytime of day from the inside. 2. I would not hand anything to a customer that I would not enjoy eating myself. That doesn’t look appetizing at all. Unbelievably TERRIBLE drive thru service!! We waited for nearly 20 minutes to get our mobile order AFTER letting them know at the order kiosk. The line was already moving very slowly anyway but then a big white SUV got to the window and sat there for around 15 minutes! WHY?!?!? The Popeye's staff should have had them pull forward and wait while the staff took care of the customers who were behind this SUV. I know for a fact that the young girl in front of us ordered just one order of French fries and our order was a mobile order that had already been prepared and just sitting there but we had to wait those 15 LOOOOOONG minutes sitting behind the SUV... again I ask ... WHY???? Popeyes inconvenienced probably at least 12-15 other customers while preparing the order for that SUV! I don't care if the reason was because the SUV's order was big and complicated or if the Popeye's staff was just inept at preparing it .. or both ... but it doesn't matter ... they should have had the SUV pull forward and wait and not made the rest of us suffer. This was THE WORST drive thru experience I have ever had, hands down, and I will not patronize this restaurant ever again. Then to add insult to injury we later discovered that they had neglected to put in the apple pie we ordered .. AND PAID FOR!!! 🙄 Popeyes .. your should be ashamed of...
