I booked a grooming appointment for my dog for December 11th at 6 pm at the PetSmart in Hermitage with Nicholas (Nick). She mainly needed her nails taken care of, but was also much overdo for a bath. I dropped her off and was impressed by the kindness of the staff. When I went to pick Maggy up, everything changed. Maggy has had her nails done at numerous other groomers before, and has never had any major issues. When I picked her up, she was clearly incredibly anxious and freaked out. Nick informed me that Maggy tried to bite her during the nail service, so he was only able to get part of them done. No one tried to contact me or anything like that, and I am 100% sure that if I was present, she would have calmed down and allowed him to continue. He did not try again when I arrived either and just threw her at me. I heard nothing but negative words about my Maggy. If you look at the PetSmart grooming website, the nail services are clearly listed in the same level of the bath and other services included in the "package." This includes: Oxygen-Infused Bath, Tangerine Shampoo, Blow Dry, Up to 15-Minute Brushing, Sanitary Trim, Nail Trim, Ear Cleaning or Flushing, Anal Gland Cleaning, Scissoring Feet & Shaving Pads. When I picked Maggy up she still had clumps of hair all over her, was still damp and stinky, and her nails were not done (as mentioned before.) If they had issues with that part regarding the nails, it leaves me to believe that they also did not fully complete any other services regarding her feet. When I asked about getting a discount on my services, I was told the nails were "complimentary" even though when listed the way it was on the website, it is very clear that it is just like any other part of the package. Her bath alone was not worth $46. I became very visibly upset and started shaking, and was met with extreme rudeness and lack of empathy. I was told by Brad the store manager that my fee was my fee, and his lack of empathy was shocking for a store that deals with animals on a daily basis. I feel robbed, and now Maggy is barred from future PetSmart services. I should have listened to my fur mom...
Read moreSteer clear of the grooming services. They have an agenda and its not your animal. Took my dog their for simple bathing for last 3 years. Had an appointment first Saturday in February, her last bath was in December. Regular bath, the techs would or supposed to make notes and discuss with you how your dog did or anything unusual. We had nothing reported to us. Anyway, 30 minutes before our appointment they call and said we are sorry but we cannot bath your dog anymore. I asked why, she said they cannot service dogs that cannot stand up on their own. This is where I started to get upset. I said what are you talking about?! She stands just fine, The girl said there is a note in her file taht my dog cannot stand up, so then Im thinking, what the heck happened to my dog in December??!! The girl could not answer, the other girl that made a note and was supposed to bath our dog and already gone for the day. Conveniently I was the last appointment for the day...mmmmm, I irately asked to speak with a Manager cause I want to know what happened to my dog in December, and why they ae just now calling me 30 minutes beofre my appointment to tell me this....a Manager never called me, and I debated myself for next couple days to call them back, but at this point do I really want these people to continue to bath my dog?? Noooo. So I let it go, will never return, but thought I did owe them and you the public the right to know what is or isnt going on at the Hermitage...
Read moreI have been coming to this pet smart for years and today had a terrible experience. The lady upfront with red hair who is clearly too old to be catching an attitude about a sale price gave me the hardest time to trying to checkout . I had over $250 worth of merchandise and she wanted me to pull up each sale item and show her the price ? I also mentioned needing to use two cards for the transaction and she just said whatever in a passive aggressive tone , which made me feel completely disregarded . Why do yâall not have knowledge of your own current sales, I mean what sense does that make . So I stood up there trying to pull up coupons and proof of their own sales đ holding up the line and then she proceeds to walk away . The next customer she helped she had a completely different energy towards and I feel extremely singled out . I will take my business elsewhere since the employees have no regard for customers. I spend hundreds of dollars here a month due to the fact that I manage a non profit cat rescue and foster numerous special needs cats . Itâs extremely unfortunate and unnecessary to treat...
