Oakwood Commons — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

A good plaza with a good occupancy rate anchored by one of my favorite stores Publix. An area of concern is a hedge in front of the old goodies store that obstructs view of traffic in both directions. It’s a dangerous intersection, and the management company and owners have been asked repeatedly to cut the hedges back or remove them but have not. The landscaping company that takes care of the property says their hands are tied. I hope that they address this quickly so there are no more accidents and hopefully no one will get hurt.

The other area of concern that I have for the Plaza is a stop sign that was placed near the McDonald’s restricting the flow of traffic into the plaza. It was put up maybe a year or two ago and is fine during non-busy times but backs traffic up onto Lebanon Road during busy times and is dangerous , I called and made a report of this not long after the stop sign was put up and the management company said they would address it, but I guess it slipped...

I went to the Publix in Oakwood Commons in Hermitage, Tennessee. I was at a cookout and a few extra people arrived so I went to Publix to get some additional steaks. It was between Walmart and Publix so you now know who prevailed.

Of course, the banks were closed (it was Sunday) so I did not know how I was going to purchase steaks without first obtaining a loan…okay, that was probably bad but steaks are expensive especially now!!

Publix not only had some beautiful steaks but they were reasonably priced and I actually did not have to break the bank! I grabbed a few additional things and was out of the store in less than 10 minutes. I could not have made a purchase at a convenience store any quicker.

I was given bad service at the drive thru, I order the breast meal and was offered mash potatoes and okra that I didn't ask for. Therefore I tried to get him back to ask about the sides he said I wanted, however a lady answered back so I repeated what I was offered and the young man rudely cut in and said I didn't say that. The young lady asked me what I wanted and I asked for slaw, I also asked for a diet Pepsi without . I pulled to the window and was greeted with a frown by the GIRL with a iced Pepsi in hand. After everything else that went wrong, the drink wasn't right, I gave it back and left. I was frowned upon like I caused the problems! I love KFC but I'll never go back there. Hire curtious...
