Roma Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Recently brought my family here for lunch to have pizza and wings — we figured we’d support a local small business. Unfortunately, everything took about 30m to “make” and when it came out it was clear that nothing was made fresh and the wings, in particular, tasted overcooked and refried. When I told the guy the wings didn’t taste right and he visibly grew annoyed and said “I can’t give you money back and if I make it again it will be the same.” He was confrontational and stubborn. His attitude was very disappointing, especially considering, it looked like a family business. I wouldn’t be surprised if the positive reviews for this spot are friends of the owner trying to help out. The atmosphere had red flags that I was willing to look to pass IF the food was any good but that wasn’t the case. The atmosphere, food and the attitude of the owner all matched. At first, I was really excited once I saw the menu and all these vegetarian opportunities. But when the pizza arrived I was disappointed quickly. It was my first time ordering but due to the Italian name I expected somewhat a more authentic Italian not Americanized pizza. The crust and dough are very thick. Plus the toppings weren’t enough. Instead I had so much cheese on my pizza which doesn’t even make any sense. The Dough and the pizza didn’t really have much of a taste. Normally, the cheese comes on top of the tomato sauce and then the toppings on top. You could add sprinkles of cheese on top of that but all cheese?! No, Thank you! For that the prices are too high. Easy parking. On line ordering is straight forward. The menu is varied and typical for a carry out pizza joint. While they have a few booths to eat at, I would consider that a last resort. The atmosphere is very much "get your food and leave". The staff was friendly and prompt. Our order was ready quickly and as promised. We ordered the carry out special (a large hand tossed pizza with two toppings). We also ordered the bread sticks. If there is a next time, I would skip the bread sticks. They had little to no flavor.
