Interrogated for producing screenshots of BOGO offered to me through the non-functional Subway app. I ordered a tuna footlong under $10 with the expectation of receiving a second footlong free (another tuna - identical) tried to show Mike (the sandwich artisan) the issue I was having with the app (he wasn't interested) I waited a solid 15-20 as he prepared the customer ahead of me a detailed order with the new $3 dipper served with marinara sauce and a custom 6" sandwich that to another 10 minutes to prepare. So now, reluctantly he's doing me a favor for honoring the BOGO coupon I am entitled to. He mentioned people produce screenshots of the web and try to beat the system. Well, my BOGO was rewarded to me through the app he wasn't interested in viewing (image attached below) I kept my order simple, untoasted, two identical sandwiches. He mumbled something about can't scan a coupon code after 8:30pm, in a curt, frustrated and unprofessional manner, he stated "I'll honor the BOGO" It was at this point I chose to audio record the remainder of my "unwelcomed BOGO usage" conversation, fueled by my previous visits usage for another coupon I produced that was an interrogation by the owner andca lesson to her staff, at my expense. My app closed or timed out during the dual tuna footlong artisan fabrication with sketchy tomatoes and brown edged lettuce. I used The "Fetch" app where you scan receipts and get to choose rewards. I purchased a $10 reward subway gift card. I fumbled through it to obtain the $10 QR code to pay for my meal. (Image attached below) This is where Mike lost his cool and insisted on assuming that I was trying to produce a BOGO couple that we both know is register code entry "FTLONG" as indicated on the apps digital coupon itself (that never proceeds to complete loading- making it impossible to place an order through the Subway app. Mike quickly became irate, out of control, and told me to leave the store. He said "I'm calling the police." I sat down in the dining room to wait for the police during which time I explained to another associate that I'm ready to pay for my meal with my digital QR gift card (image attached below) Mike said just take your sandwiches and leave. I'M HOPING MIKE GETS AN OPPORTUNITY TO READ THIS.... I WAS PRODUCING A $10 GIFT CARD FROM MY PHONE, A DIGITAL GIFT CARD MIKE! IT HAD NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH THE BOGO YOU WERE REQUIRED TO HONOR! THE BOGO IS GOOD FOR UP TO 8 TIMES THROUGH AUGUST 25th. I'LL POST MY GIFT CARD AND BOGO SCREENSHOTS below. I ALSO RECORDED A SCREEN RECORD SESSION PROVIDE THE SUBWAY APP DOES NOT WORK PROPERTY! I've been nothing but kind and a easy to deal with, a friendly customer and purchased food from this Subway store at least three times a week. I saved all my receipts if that should be challenging (which it was, in our heated one-way conversation. Clearly my business is not welcome at this establishment and I'll be damned if I ever step foot in there again. Not solely because of the way Mike treated me, it includes another visit a few weeks ago where The owner humiliated me in front of other customers and staff on a previous entitled BOGO coupon presentation that I was 100% entitled to use and earned on the Subway app. I have everything I need to prove a discriminatory lawsuit. You don't treat customers this way or base your thoughts on speculation, assumptions and/or guess work based on the appearance of others. I want an apology from both Mike and the Owner and I will consider deleting my review. I attempted to report this incident to corporate and follow up with them questioning why after two months does the app still not work and to no surprise, I was unable to submit my complaint because they require you to select a topic from a drop down menu that offers no selection to choose, inhibiting "a ticket" submission. It's astounding how respect is given to those who carry their materialistic treasures. Had I been wearing a necktie, less ballcap... I would not have had to overwrite the previous 5 star review...
Read moreGotta love it you get there 10min before close &all their lights are still on, including the open sign, you see someone even sitting inside eating, but the door is already locked. And then once the guy working sees you, he flips off the outside lights incl the open sign in response. I should have gotten here a little sooner obviously (&if I hadn't just gotten off of work myself, I would have), but that's also just really, really poor customer service Subway!
Edited to add that after texting a few friends in the Bellevue area abt this, I heard back from almost all of them saying that they had frequently experienced the exact same thing at this store, even when arriving 15min+ prior to their advertised closing time. When you consistently close earlier than stated, you need to update your posted hours. I hadn't eaten at this store for months now bc of the pandemic & being extremely tight on money; experiences like this make it unlikely that I will return. I'd rather spend my limited money at local businesses that don't regularly lie abt their hours of operation - bc they prob cut corners on other aspects of their...
