I can't believe I am writing a review for a fitness studio, but it's good to know I'm still surprising myself after 30+ years, LOL.
I'd been wanting to try out reformer pilates for a while. I switched jobs recently and am now fully remote with the flexibility to make my own schedule. No longer having the excuse of not being able to fit something in with my work schedule, I tested out Club Pilates during their opening weekend. I really enjoyed it! I signed up for the unlimited membership (again, who am I??), and have been trying to go at least 3 times a week. Here are some things I've noted:
You will not get bored! No class is the same. Even if you go to the same class and level, the instructors change the "routine" (is that the correct word? idk) up so much you wouldn't know it.
The instructors are super supportive and helpful. They offer modifications so you can go as hard (or easy) as you want, they move around the room to make sure you have the correct form, and you pick your own weights if the class requires it. I look forward to the day I graduate beyond the 2lb weights. I’ll get there (maybe?)!
Scheduling is a breeze. You schedule through an app, and if a class is full, you can hop on the waitlist. I’ve been able to get into several classes I was waitlisted on. They also have a variety of class times, so sometimes I go in the morning, sometimes at lunch, and some days I go at the end of my workday.
The 8 class pack was probably more reasonable for starting out, but honestly, I have the tendency to just stay home, clean the house, etc. This has been a great way to get out of the house, get moving, and actually talk to a real person (not just one on a computer screen!). As someone who’s not really a fitness person, I’ve enjoyed trying something new and taking an hour to focus on myself. Not sure why that’s so hard, but I’m grateful for the experience and wanted to share. Your first class is free, so hit up an intro class if you’re...
Read moreFirstly I would like to say I’ve enjoyed my time here at club Pilates. Even though it’s been months since I’ve attended a class. It’s disheartening to have to share such an experience with them, as I don’t see this company as a customer caring business. I froze my account earlier this year due to me being extremely busy with working full time and being a full time nursing student. Personal issues arises with family shortly after and I found myself having to care for a sick family member full time as well. An associate reached out to me (August 7th) to uplift the freeze but I somehow overlooked it due to the load of stress I’ve been dealing with. I contacted them yesterday (August 14th) to cancel my membership because I came across a member ship charge of 197$. While seeing this, I asked for a refund because I have not attended a class in months and don’t seeing myself booking a class until my plate lightens up. I could see if I have booked a class since the charge and plan on booking in the next month but that’s not my plan at all. Nevertheless, they declined my suggestion of a refund. I understand that I did not get back in a timely manner but I ask that morality speaks over policy. I was and still am dealing with a lot, so if you plan on buying a membership and life happens be sure to cancel it and not...
Read moreI've been a member of Club Pilates for a couple of years now and was so excited when they opened Bellevue Place! They just opened, but they're already offering classes before and after my office hours, so it's really easy for me to work classes into my day.
I love pilates. I always feel energized when I leave and believe it/exercise improves my mental health. I feel like I get the best and most varied workout at CP because of the reformer, spring board, mat and chair work. I love the instructors - they're really energetic and helpful. And the absolute best part is that Nashville studios are owned by the same people, so you can go to other studios! It may be like another month before Bellevue Place is included (soft opening) in that, but it's super convenient when you work on the other...
