The first thing I noticed was the large menu featuring detailed photos of each dish with clearly marked, and fair prices. There is an outdoor seating area that fits at least 18 people with a tent to shield you from the sun. Parking closer to the truck can accommodate about six vehicles, but there is more parking in front of the strip of stores next to the truck.
The food took less than ten minutes to come out. It was on a paper plate with foil as most taco trucks serve their food, but also came in a black bag. Upon opening the plate, I found the four tacos I ordered, along with two sauces, some radish, onion, cucumber and a tasty grilled green pepper.
The tacos…
These are some of the best tortillas I have had in Nashville. You can tell they are hand made and fresh. The texture almost pastry like, and the thickness perfectly consistent. The tacos all came with generous amounts of red onion and cilantro. They also came with generous amounts of meat – you could pinch the taco to eat it and have a 1.5 inch thick mountain of meat pouring out of both ends.
Pastor: The color was nice with some red sprinkled in. The texture and flavor was slightly different from some of the pastor I have had before, but it was delicious.
Pollo: This is likely the most moist pollo taco I have had. Usually they are dry, but this one had great texture and flavor.

My friend had the tako special of 3 carne asada tacos with rice and beans, and she was very happy. We also sampled the pollo asada. The chicken was three pieces, so tender and juicy with rice, beans and fresh veggies and avacado. The beans are so yummy and the corn tortillas are amazing! Yeah, its a food truck and yeah it’s parked at the back side of the end of a little strip center. It does not look “special” but just trust the reviews and try it. Super nice people making super good food at very good prices!💕 Can’t wait to...
Read moreThe food is THE BEST and most authentic food I have had from any restaurant, I will drive all the way from Murfreesboro just to eat there. The family is so nice and sweet and the food is always so good every time I go, and the freshness is incredible. The owners truly care about how much work they put into their food. The Horchata is to die for, and I always Recommend Tako Loko to all my friends and family who visit. It reminds me of when I am with my family from Jalisco how delicious everything is! Brenda took my order and is always so kind, and Juan is always happy and cooking with a smile...
