UMAMI THAI — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

This place has great food! However, we just walked out due to the very, very poor service. It was absolutely ridiculous. We walked in, two different servers saw us, and said nothing. After a few looks, one decided to tell us we could seat ourselves. So we gladly did. And back to being ignored. There were a few other tables sat, but they weren't slammed in the dining room (Though I have no idea what their take our orders looked like). No waters, no acknowledgment, no "be right with you". Nothing. We watched both servers move around the dining area multiple times, but in the 10 minutes we sat there, neither acknowledged our table. Another table flagged one down sounding irritated, so we waited to see if that would prompt the server to check on other tables...but no. After being ignored for a few more rounds, about another 10 minutes, and not able to catch either serve's eye, we decided to leave. Worst service I've experienced in a very long time. So maybe just order for delivery, because the food is good but the service was trash.

My wife and myself had been frequent diners at this establishment, however last night we decided to go and have dinner there and was expecting excellence in food and service as we have always had, however our experience last night was subpar at best. We ordered orange chicken that tasted as of it had been cooked with other meats and had a taste of burnt steak with considerably smaller portion than our previous visit and I was told it's because the rice paper is larger giving the appearance of a smaller portion by a male that worked there not to mention the female waitress that acted as if we were a problem to serve. The 2 orders of crab Rangoons tasted as if they had been refried several times and we were give a new order by the same male worker to correct this issue. In the end we paid $60 for this. Not worth the money don't go here as a first choice. We are very dissapointed as the level of service and quality of food was far below what we have experienced multiple times before. Not sure what's going on here but for the owner of this business you need to get your act together if you plan on serving in this hard economic time with...

When it comes to Thai, I would consider myself well diversed. I've ordered 2xs from this resturant, both to-go orders. Curry each time, I was pleased (except I asked swap out one veggie for another - and each time is was not done). 2nd time ordered was to-go order as well and was high monetary amount. I ordered a lot so I could have left overs the next day and a diveresity of entrees to feed 3. Fried Calamari was a disappointment. Very mininum amount given and the rings were no bigger than a quarter - I won't buy again. When you think Orange Chicken, you'd think you get about the same quanity as any other establishment. This was not the case. Chunks of chicken was minuinum, small nuggets and barely teasers on a plate - I will not buy again. Thai Ice Tea - water down colored water with a huge splash of cream. I also put in a request for light ice - it was filled to the top. Maybe took 5 sips and it was gone - I will not buy again.
