The Rusty Nail Bar — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Stopped in for drinks and to check out the music for the night. First time in. It was clean inside, other than some tables that had empty food baskets sitting on them for the entire time we were there. It was pretty empty when we got there, only 4 other people inside for the first hour we were there. The bartender wasn’t behind the bar when we got there. We waited about 5 min and then she came out from the back. I asked her a few questions about some of the beers. She pretty much said all the ones I asked about were just ‘light beers’. I had asked if one specifically was a lager. She just shrugged and said it was light. She didn’t even look at the can to get an answer. I ordered it anyway cuz I was pretty sure it was a lager. It was. I got my drinks and sat at the end of the bar closest to the stage. The entire time I was there the bartender never once came down to see if I needed anything. Anytime I wanted a drink I’d have to get up, gather my belongings and walk to the other end of the bar and then wait for her to pay attention to the fact that I was there. For most of the time I was there she wasn’t even behind the bar, but when she was she stayed down on that far end. After getting up twice I decided I wasn’t getting up anymore. I did want to try one of their signature drinks but decided if she came down to check on me I’d get one. Otherwise I wasn’t ordering anything else. She never did come down so I didn’t try any of the signature drinks. I do wish those had prices on them. I hate when bars don’t have prices listed. But on a positive note it was nice ordering a beer that wasn’t outrageously priced. For some reason bars in Nashville think charging $8 for a can of yuengling is acceptable. It is not. So it was really great to be somewhere where they aren’t trying to gouge their customers. They have a menu with a lot of different bar food. I didn’t try anything but it did smell good in there while they were cooking. The live music was great. The sound was really good. Was looking forward to my first visit, on my 21st birthday. Sadly disappointing. I arrived at 7:30 sober, and was looking forward to buying my first legal drink. Was refused service with a paper id obtained yesterday morning on the date of my birthday from the dmv. Attempted to show valid hard copy id, that matched the temporary id. Was denied. Bartender rudely send me to outside patio. Unfortunately, I rode with a friend whose boyfriend was playing that night. A few minutes after i was sent to the patio, The bartender came outside and told me i had to leave the premise. I attempted a second time to show her a valid id, at which point she deemed it “didn’t matter”. Very upset and stranded, i called my dad to ask for his advice. My dad called the establishment 13 times. After no success, He guided me through how to walk back in and ask for a managers help. Too shaken up, my friend agreed to go in on my behalf to help resolve the situation. Unfortunately the manager chose the defend the bartender without speaking to me directly, As i was stranded outside on the curb. The primary reason i am leaving this review is to warn future young girls who may find theirselves in a similar situation. As well as to inform the general manager through transparency. The bartender was rude. I work in the restaurant industry and would never treat my patrons in this fashion and, because i do respect the restaurant industry i feel like the manager...

Came to the rusty nail for a drag show and had a great time with the music city dolls. However, the service provided by the rusty nail was subpar to say the least. We had seven girls order bottomless mimosas however the wait staff very rarely refilled our glasses or came to check on us. We tried to order food multiple times and the waiting staff said “drinks first and food later”. They never returned to take our food order so we were starving the entire show. Lastly, they over charged us for mimosas and when we went to settle the payment, they kept explaining that we were incorrect regarding the payment. They said we ordered 8 mimosas despite us only ordering 7. They claimed that they served to someone underage who clearly did not drink. They are rude, unwilling to listen and have terrible customer service. I was attending for my bachelorette party and they continued to threaten to involve the authorities and make us feel like criminals. Overall, we were not upset about the money loss but rather the terrible service and rudeness. This one star is for the amazing drag show, the other stars are for the awful service. We will not...
