Crawfish Hole — Restaurant in Natchitoches

I used to enjoy dining at the Crawfish Hole as a college student over ten years ago. I will say that I received my to go order quickly (in less than 5 minutes.) However, I am disappointed with their customer service. I contacted them via telephone a couple weeks prior while I was in town for a quick minute. I wanted to place a "To-Go" order over the phone. The lady told me she didn't take orders over the phone for less than 100lbs.... Being a city girl, I was turned off. She went on to say, if you want to order something come on up here and just hung up the phone. Well, that particular day I didn't bother. Getting back to my order that I did purchase, the crawfish was waaaaaaaay to salty. I have eaten at many seafood restaurants, similar to this place like Shell Shack and Red Claws and I have never felt the need to check my blood pressure afterwards. That is my official last visit to the Crawfish Hole but I am glad the locals love it since they don't know any better. Advice to the owner, adapt to change with your recipe and customers ordering...

Still Hands down the Best onion rings in town but I had to change my review for today. Got lunch to go used my debit card. Later at home glance at the receipt. Observe a "Non Cash Adjustment Fee". Really! You are going to charge me to use my debit card. You get your money immediately and You are not charged to process "Debit" card purchases. If you are being charged to process a debit card transaction you need to change financial institutions. I understand that you went up on the prices across the board. All restaurants have. But what I am sick is the sneaky fees and up charges. You could have put a sign up saying you are gouging every single customer using a debit card on top of their food. That would be the right thing to do. Shame on you. We normally eat here two/three times a month. Also bring friends and family from out of town. Going to have to think long and hard...

Three words: lip smacking good. Very flavorful. I even ate the onions cause onions are delicious, why wouldn’t people eat the onions that soaked up all that deliciousness?

Crawfish was good and shrimp were nice and firm. Potatoes and corn were NOT mushy and falling apart which is always nice to see as there are people like me who appreciate the vegetable part of the boil. 🤤🦞 🌽 🥔

On another note, it feels good to see a business striving to do their best and keep their people safe during a time where we have a deadly pandemic happening. Going to a place where you have to eat with your hands isn’t the most appealing right now, but Crawfish Hole tries hard and kindly for people to abide by covid protocols which helps...
