Food is good but their margarita prices are OUTRAGEOUS!! I feel like I really got taken advantage of big time and that is a HORRIBLE feeling! I somehow spent $28 for ONE large margarita.đł I still donât know how. I didnât even get a buzz either. Iâm VERY upset the waiter got my drink order immediately upon sitting down with my group and I never even glanced at the prices because it said HAPPY HOUR on their sign out front. I assumed it was going to be around $14 MAX for a large. Never did I EVER dream I would spend $28!!! I feel like I got charged double for what they call âHappy Hourâ. I donât know how the waiter didnât think to tell me the ridiculous $28 price ahead of time to verify I was ok with spending that much. I looked over their prices AFTER the bill came and somehow their small 12 oz HAPPY HOUR price for a margarita is $11.50!?!! That is WAY too much to spend for a soda can size of a margarita. That is almost $1 PER ounce!!! How DARE they advertise Happy Hour on their big sign outside and charge customers more than other places! That is false advertising to get customers to buy their overpriced drinks thinking they will be reasonably priced. Never again will I order anything but water from there again to drink. I learned my lesson the tough and expensive way. Here is a picture because you have to see it to believe it. I REALLY got overcharged for my Mexican dinner and ONE drink out for it to have been $53.52! Mexican food is supposed to be cheaply priced, not...
Read moreterrible service, no refills, no refill on the chips and salsa despite 4 waitresses being on the floor. my fiancĂ© had one refill of a water. no waitress. the host was the only person who asked if he wanted a refill and even then the soda wasnât refilled. placed in a dark corner away from everyone else in the restaurant. paid 10.99 for a barely there chimichanga with a double side of beans. my fiancĂ© bought the 8.99 combo meal and was served skimpy flat food. the tortillas werenât even cooked and the ground beef that was in there was unseasoned and the only thing that was wrapped in the âburritoâ. the hard shelled taco that came with his meal was only unseasoned ground beef with lettuce and thatâs it, it definitely wasnât what we were expecting. in all honesty it felt as if we were discriminated against because we are white. the other side of the restaurant was only poc and we were placed behind the only other white couple in the restaurant. worst 25 dollars iâve ever spent. note: everyone else in the restaurant had hearty plates...

We've been here during the busy Christmas season (which is INSANE in Natchitoches) as well as Cinco de Mayo and other major holidays. The service and food quality never falters. Margaritas are on point - strong and delicious. I've lived in 6 states and have dined at countless Mexican restaurants of a similar style, and El Nopal has the best steak taco salad of them all. I think it's the secret sauce they bring with it. We also have a favorite server who always waits on us when we dine here. She's been our go-to gal for the past 2.5 years that we've lived here. She's warm and friendly towards our kids, and she takes very good care of us - our drinks are never empty! I'll miss her...
