TL;DR: If you’re looking for a fantastic local pizzeria look no further.
The food here is fantastic. Close your eyes and randomly point to some thing on their menu – anything on their menu. You won’t be sorry you tried it. Four specific instances come to my mind that tell me that they genuinely care about the food they make and their overall customer service. We ordered calzones for takeout recently. I guess the crust didn’t turn out to the chefs satisfaction (it seemed just fine to me!). The owner left a note in the box for us saying to call him at the given number so he can refund our money. One time we ordered takeout using an online system (grubhub or doordash or something - I can’t remember). I guess there was a problem with the system because the order was received by Giovanni‘s a lot later than it had been placed. So when I went to pick up our order it wasn’t ready yet. When he realized this the owner apologized profusely for the delay even though it was not at all his fault. Additionally there was a problem with the payment. the payment did not go through the online system. But the owner refused to take payment from us. He insisted that we shouldn’t have to pay twice and that he will resolve the issue with the company through which the order came. I was waiting to pick up another take out order. There was a loud customer ahead of me who was vehemently making his opinion know about Covid, Covid vaccine, the mask mandate etc. it was a bit annoying but whatever. He took his order when it was ready and left. The owner apologized on behalf of the mildly annoying customer!! Another takeout order. This time I was about two hours late to pick up my order. After about an hour had passed since the designated pickup time, the owner called and “scolded” me for not picking up the order on time. He was very concerned that the pizza won’t taste as good as it would have if I had picked it up on time. I found it...
Read moreSadly, the pizza is pretty good. That is why they get 3 stars, and not one. I ordered from their website, the one THEY set the delivery limits on, and received a call a half hour after my order was received. The woman, nice enough, said he (the delivery guy) couldn't find my address, and read the right address to me. I added the Framingham part (which was on the delivery address already), and all hell broke loose. I could hear this raspy old farts voice bitchin' and moaning about it being too far, and how they never deliver there, its gonna take him 30-minutes there and 30-minutes back. How my order wasn't worth that. The woman tried to get a word in about whether or not he will, and finally he reluctantly, and like a child who didn't get his way, said he'd go. Shortly after that, he shows up. And with a heart warming smile, and a sincere apology, he delivered my pizza..... Not. 14-minutes later (so, less than half of the expected travel time to my address that he threw a hissy fit over) he said, "Here you go." In that award winning customer service way that he has, and attempted to Huff and Puff away. So, yeah. The pizza is good. But most definitely not worth dealing with a sour old...
Read moreMy order was a meatball sub. It was flavorful and the sauce complimented the meatballs very well. The large size is a perfect for a lunch portion. I would have liked it better if the bacon and green peppers were not missing. Minor hiccup with the order I guess. Overall a decent lunch.
UPDATE: It has been over two years since my review. My friends and I decided to go back for the first time since then. I ordered the same exact item. Meatball sub with green peppers and bacon. This time, the order was correct. The bacon added the perfect flavor and the pepper added the fine crunch. We sat at the only red table and played a card game too. Overall, a great time and food. The chicken wings were tender and...
