Nick's Pizza House — Restaurant in Natick

Tasty pizza; will order again! I was a little leery of ordering given the frequency of negative reviews, not all of which are old. But Nick’s is close by and definitely local so I wanted to give it a try before counting it out, and I’m glad I did.

I saw that many of the low-star reviews involved ordering through a 3rd-party app so I went the old fashioned way and called the shop after looking at their menu online. I was asked to hold briefly then my order was taken: large steak bomb pizza and small side of hot wings. I was told 20 minutes and my order was waiting when I rolled in. The shop is small and a bit dingy, but that had no impact on the meal.

The pizza is delicious (I’m eating a second slice while I type). Good topping coverage but not so heavy that it flops down mid-bite. The crust isn’t too thick or too thin, well done but not burnt. The wings are nice and spicy, cooked well but not overdone and sufficiently saucy. The price was not bad, for New England, and they have a few other pies I want to try.

This eatery is within two miles of home, we placed an order through a 3rd party delivery service as stated on their site they did not deliver to our residence. We placed the order and noticed that there was no communication on the end of the pizza shop (Nicks) We called and stated we had placed the order via 3rd party and were told it would be at least 2 hours before the delivery could be made, that is why he did not respond— with confusion again we reiterated that this order was placed on the 3rd party website and they provide their own delivery drivers - to which he responded: “I have my own driver for that service”and it will be over two hours Aghast with that response and the amount of greed this owner must have we requested that he cancel our order if he could not fulfill it , to which he responds NO! Order here quite often however the hours listed here on Google do not match menu hours on take out websites. In fact the hours are not consistent on ANY of the menu websites i.e. Sunday is listed as open til 10pm on Google. Eat24 menu says stop taking orders at 8:30pm, Grubhub 8pm, and foodler 9pm. My fiance and I order so much I am actually starting to think this has changed because we often order around these times 8-9:30pm. Message received loud and clear!
