We came across this spot around 8:30 p.m. after seeing it on Instagram. The pictures made it look legit good food, cool vibe so my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try.
Right off the bat, to top it off: it’s VERY overpriced. These smashed burgers were $20 each. To make it a large meal? Another $2 on top. Honestly, for that price, you expect something decent. But looking back, I would’ve been way better off just going across the street to In-N-Out or Chick-fil-A both are cheaper and taste way better. Lesson learned.
When we walked in, the place was almost empty just three people inside. That didn’t feel like a good sign, but we stuck it out. We stood at the counter waiting to order, expecting someone to greet us or say something. Instead, we stood there awkwardly for about 15 minutes. No one said a word or even acknowledged us. At that point, we were about ready to just walk out when we noticed a self-serve ordering terminal.
We placed our order two meals and one drink. After that, it was another 15 minutes waiting for our food. Still, no one up front or behind the counter even glanced our way. When they finally brought the food out, I had to ask the lady for my drink cup because no one gave it to me. I had paid for a large, but she handed me a cup that looked like a small. Small detail, but just one more thing on the list.
We live about three minutes away, so we took the food home right away. By the time we sat down to eat, the burgers weren’t just disappointing they were basically inedible. Both burgers were extremely salty to the point where it didn’t even taste like food. I took two bites and couldn’t eat anymore. My girlfriend finished hers, unfortunately. About 20 minutes later, she was in the bathroom for over an hour with an upset stomach. Not long after that, I wasn’t feeling right either.
The only thing halfway decent were the fries, and even those were cold.
To make things worse, the restaurant wasn’t clean. Tables were sticky, there was food left behind on several of them, and the whole place felt like no one was really paying attention or cared about the customer experience.
Between the overpriced menu, lack of service, salty low-quality food, and the dirty dining area, I honestly can’t say I’d ever come back here. Total waste of time and money, and it ended with both of us not feeling well. Next time, I’ll stick to In-N-Out or Chick-fil-A...
Read moreEdit: My initial impressions of the restaurant have changed because of one bad meal. Everything we ordered during that meal was grossly over-salted and pretty much inedible. This discouraged my wife from returning to the restaurant. I've said this in some of my past reviews and I'll say it again: Consistency is the mark of a good restaurant. I will eventually give the place another shot and update my review accordingly.
Deeeeelicious! You would think that opening a burger restaurant so close to In N Out would be a mistake (which happened to be the case for the last burger restaurant at this location) but Eat Crispy Burger is a real contender.
I love their Bigger Better Mack and Cali Crisp burgers. Both of those burgers have a generous amount of toppings so you'll still get full with only a single patty (I'm 6'3" 195 lbs so that's saying something). My wife loves the OG burger with added bacon. I find that burger to be thinner compared to the other two burgers so getting that with a double patty is the right call.
Their fries are also executed perfectly. They're crispy and not too salty nor starchy. They pair very well with the in-house ranch.
Lastly, the strawberry milkshake is excellent. I tasted two things - milk and strawberry ice cream. Nothing more and nothing less. That's exactly how it should be.
Overall, I have nothing but a good experience at Eat Crispy Burger. Their prep times do seem slightly slower than an average fast food restaurant (not any longer than In N Out on a busy day) but it's well worth the wait and blows average fast food out of the water....
Read moreFirst time eating at this restaurant. In all the photos the food looked good. I thought i would give it a try. My husband and I came in on a week day evening only observed like 3-4 people sitting down to eat. As soon as i walked through the door the restaurant did have an odor of musky almost when things are wiped down with a smelly rag. The table was semi cleaned. My husband did use the restroom which a code was needed to open, as he came out he did mention that the bathroom floors were extremely sticky enough to say he felt like his shoes were getting stuck when walking. I should of known that as a red flag that if the bathroom floors are dirty makes me wonder of the kitchen. We still proceeded to order take out from the Kiosk. Knowing that the burger had to be cooked before serving i just gave them a chance to try their food. We order 2x OG crispy W/ crazy fries (( which to me they tried to make it like animal style fries from In-N-Out, NOTHING like that at all )) also order the chili bean and cheese fries. W / butterfinger shake. I unfortunately will never eat here again the wait just for our food was 35-40 minutes. not worth the time. Nothing tasted good the burger patties smashed so thin you lose the taste with all the sauce and the bun. Fries of course were frozen fries came out soggy and the chili beans were burnt. the only semi good thing from the whole meal was the shake. Let’s not forget that for just this meal we paid $45.85 SUPER OVERPRICED for the crap you get! i will be taking my money next time to In- N- out and wait in a long line for...
