To start, we attended opening week so understandably there was going to be some short falls. I gave two stars because my experience was a long failed fall. Checking in was pleasant and typical dispensary fashion. The Dispensary was well decorated and lit. Wide selection and average prices, at least cheaper than the big one March and Ash. The dispensary staff were awesome, attentive and informative. We made reservations far in advance for this night and imagined it would be packed.
Red flag number 1 🚩- we headed upstairs to check in for our reservation about 10min early to give them time. The hostess proceeds to ask if we had been there earlier today. Answer was no. Then informs us that someone else checked in under our reservation. Immediately I inform them they should be checking ID’s and offered her ours confirming that we are the correct people for our reservation. Immediately you can tell they messed up and had given our table away. It sinks my heart, cause that generally means you will now get whatever crap table is left. Our reservation was at 6:45pm we were seated by 7pm. After 25min now which was 15min past our reservation we get seated in - you guessed it- the very back near the bathrooms at a corner table. This is a high top table and I have an injured foot and have to be in crutches. So a high top table is the worst option possible for me but this at least faced the restaurant. The other table options had a direct view of the bathrooms ONLY. Not great for a place that messed up and their correction is to give you the worst option possible.
Red flag number 2 🚩– My table of 3 decide to shake it off its my partners bday weekend (which we informed on the reservation) - so we proceed to enjoy the atmosphere and music. Both the environment and energy were a wonderful experience to take in. The art and beauty of the place was incredible. Our waitress greets us after about 5min and informs they are brining us water and explained how the restaurant and menu’s worked and she will be back to start our order. We purchased a lot of options to smoke downstairs; naturally we start lighting up and enjoying the experience. Until it starts to turn 7:30pm and our waitress is still not back. We have cotton mouth; no water cause we drank it all; no drinks or food even in the making after 30min. We requested a busser inform our waitress we are ready at this point and we still don’t see this person till 7:45. Nothing able to be ordered or checked on for 45min - I’m not having fun. She comes back informs us they are covering other areas and so sorry.
Red flag number 3 🚩— We place all of our orders right in that moment since we assumed we would not see our waitress again for another 30-45min. Drinks came quick but the 10mg tinctures were forgot about and so she was rushing to get them. We ordered Sessions Burger (7/10) Cheese board (2/10) Ahi tuna waffle app (2/10) I wouldn’t expect much from this place on food. I’ve worked fine dining as a sous chef in San Diego for 7years and this was meh. I expect the menu to have a lot of touch ups in the future though as a new place. Drinks we ordered Kushpresso Martini (8/10) Crouching taro hidden grape (6/10) Thai-tanic (5/10)
Red flag number 4 🚩— you’ve probably caught on to the pattern. At this point my foot injury is killing me with these high top tables. We have smoked more and ran out of our drinks again… and another 45min has gone by before our waitress made it back to us. Not a free desert offered for the lacking service or even just my girlfriend’s birthday. No discount for the massive delays Not even a free pre-roll or tincture to make anything better.
Overall I hope I am the one off and this place does a lot better down the line. 2/5 would advise to wait 6months to a year. Wait before you go if you want a good time. The growing pains are very present. Will be watching future experiences and how Sessions responds to them for a...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars, I would. The one star should go to Alex who was the only helpful and nice person that I interacted with. First of all, don’t bother calling the number listed on Google because no one will answer. I called three times and no luck. Once I got there I saw that the phone behind the desk wasn’t even plugged in. I tested it and called while I was inside and nothing rang. Despite having a reservation, we still had to wait over an hour and a half for a table. We were told that because we waited so long, the dispensary workers were going to pass out free goodies (this never happened). This entire experiencing was just waiting in lines. Plus it didn’t really seem like anyone knew what was going on. Whenever we asked a worker a question, they always deflected to someone else and gave conflicting information. Once we finally sat down and ordered, our waiter told us that to we had to get up and go to the bar to place an order (so what is the point of having a waiter then?). Anyway we go over to the bar and a woman comes up and looks confused as to why we are waiting there. Then she goes up to our waiter and they start arguing about whose job it us to serve our table. They were literally arguing in front of us. After we finally ordered, our waiter came over and told us that they couldn’t sell past ten pm. Keep in mind that our reservation was for 8pm so this was two hours past when we were supposed to be seated. Our waiter was also just super rude and gave terrible service. Never checked on us and was super unprofessional when we inquired about the promised free goodies for waiting so long. He came back a slammed a drink on the table and said this was the best he could do (there were four of us, but one drink?). You would think for how much we spent and how long we waited that the service would be better. Also the food was so so so bad. I wish there were strong enough words to describe how overpriced and disappointing the food was. There is so much more I could say but bottom line is if you feel like waiting in line for a super long time, spending a fortune on terrible food, and receiving horrible service then yeah I’d recommend this place. I wish I could go back in time and do literally anything else than waste...
Read moreGood and bad things about this place, great atmosphere horrible service. Made reservations for May 24th at 5pm. Great atmosphere, very comfortable, great selection of cannabis and i rented a Gravity bong i hit for the first time. But, the service was one of the worse I’ve ever received in San Diego, so bad i didn’t want to leave a tip but the machine gave no other option. My lady and I sat at our table for 25 min before we were ever approached by our server who lightly apologized saying she didn’t know we were there. We sat at the first table by the bar and the table right next to us had a lady who had relations with one of the workers there. That table had great service, we watched as multiple employees serve them great service and walked by us like we didn’t exist. I had to literally yell our waitress name to get her attention as she walked right by us without checking on us every time. I had to get up and wait by the bar to order our food, I had to flag down other servers to ask for paraphernalia which wasn’t available at the time like a grinder, lighters or rolling board. I spent $150 in the dispensary alone, after food and drinks I spent $250 with just my lady and I. I’m not a huge spender but we could have been valued more as customers. The vibe from the staff was they didn’t want us there. I get if everyone is high they move slow, but if you know you don’t function well on smoke then don’t smoke so you can do your job better at least at a minimum level. We didn’t get water til sitting down for 30 min already that’s horrible for any restaurant way below standards. Our waitress would check on the table literally right next to us and walk by us without even giving us eye contact. The food was good, the idea is great, we like the music it’s just the service was so bad and we drove 2 hours one way to go there, we are not sure it’s worth returning because the service was so horrible. We clearly saw they can give people better service than what they gave us they just chose not to. Lastly, every table should have there own paraphernalia, ash trays available at all time. And bring cash highly recommended or you’ll be taxed $3.50 on every transaction like a ATM...
