Three Boys Coffee — Restaurant in National City

• they moved to 2nd level closer to JC Penney *

So by chance hubby and I went to Plaza Bonita mall and ended up at the very 1st day 6/4/22 of Three Boys Coffee soft opening.

The owners are special. And yes they have 3 sons. Their drinks I'm sure are all spectacular. We ordered the Mango Passion Fruit Tea and their coffee called Cafe de Olla.

Ok, right? Move aside Starbucks, here is a place where I said wow. This is better than Starbucks level.

Also, get this, 1st responders get 10% off! I think they mentioned teachers, too.

And why they would do this is an amazing promo. You get 3 drinks and get the 4th free (excludes ice blended drinks). So here is where my new Coffee hangout place now.

Because of being sick with a bad cold, we missed their official grand opening 6/11/22. They had empanadas and I missed out.

However, they have nice dessert like things to purchase to eat with your coffee.

Back again 717/22 and enjoying coffee, vanilla cream frappe and Strawberry Kiwi lemonade. Their smores cookies and Madeleine's cookies made it even better!

Back again 11/25/22 snd got my rewards free coffee! Hubby got The Goods- Iced Carmel Machiatto and I got the Nutty Boy - Hazelnut Latte. Top that with chocolate cookies and a strawberry cake pop. Too good to be true!

Their coffee was good, I loved the different names for the drinks. The hot coffee wasn't very hot and the cold coffee wasn't that cold, I had to ask for a cup of ice to add to it. But still, delicious. The Mexican mocha we got 1/2 sweet, which I am grateful for as it was pretty sweet. The horchata cold was delicious, but also really sweet. I would get 1/2 sweet next time. There were some clean tables and the staff was fine. The pastries looked delicious but I didn't try any. I almost got the apple turnover though.

Annoyingly, GPS didn't make it clear it was in a mall, and it was very hard to find inside using Google maps..k22 on the mall map eventually got us there but we parked in the wrong area outside the mall. It isn't a big kiosk. Too bad they don't have their own shop, I think they'd be a great place if it...

Today, my friend and I got very ill from the drinks. My friend had an Iced Americano and nothing else, I had an Iced Hazelnut Latte.

My friend is a cafè barista, and we both got sharp excruciating abdominal pain within 15-30 mins of consuming very, very unspeakable poorest taste of coffee beans. Lowest grade. Not worth the cost.

So, sad to have made this my first NEGATIVE ZERO TO THE 20TH POWER REVIEW.
