New Moon — Restaurant in Naugatuck

I literally ordered from this place, maybe a couple of months ago and to be honest with you when I move here to Naugatuck. I was a little bit concerned because I used to live in Ansonia and I used to order from Easton bistro and they’re the best. I just gotta say their food is delicious and I will never trade them for anything so since I moved to Naugatuck. I was really afraid to try any restaurant in this town so I’ve been ordering from this restaurant ever since because their food was delicious and I’m talking about was delicious. The food no longer taste good anymore. I noticed that twice in a row I ordered from them and I don’t order all the time because Chinese food is not good to eat all the time So both times did I order from them for some reason the rice taste like it’s raw like it’s kinda hard it’s not even tender the chicken wings they taste weird they don’t even taste like chicken wings. The soup didn’t taste like wonton soup. It tasted like it was hard and stale so every time I wanna order Chinese food I think about I’m not gonna order from them anymore because in the beginning, it was delicious and now the food doesn’t taste fresh at all. I don’t know if they change owners. I don’t know if it’s new owners but the old owners they were there before they were really good and making the food and I feel like it’s in a new management and this restaurant I’m sorry to say I don’t mean to be mean but I’m not gonna be ordering from you...

High score on the most recent Health Department Inspection. Great food, good cooks, authentic Chinese food. New Moon has been around since the early 80s when the father came over as an immigrant. It's currently in it's second generation. Everything they make is with their own hands. If you're around in the morning you can see them prepping the days food. I've been eating at New Moon since 94. They are a tight family. Taking Tuesdays off to enjoy the summer vacation with their children. It's not about food, pricing or cleanliness. It's about knowing the family on a personal level. It's about off menu cooking. It's about helping thier neighbors. I've witnessed them hand food to people in need. No questions asked. I'm not loyal to New Moon for the food and it's quality. I'm loyal to New Moon because New Moon is a good neighbor. I'm happy they came to Naugatuck. You will be too. Let me also say that I went through the reviews and all but 2 were from 1 person setting up multiple accounts to discredit the restaurant. He is a former driver that was fired for having alcohol in his dystem, refusing to pay back $200 he borrowed and making delivering food late on purpose. It's sad when a company suffers from reviews by a disgruntled former employee. I have reported him to Google and confronted him personally. Check the reviews for yourself. So went there for three years noticed for the past month the prices keep varying only raising but the menu hasn't changed. When I went there this last time I asked for a menu because to me the price was at least 5 bucks more. The man took his pen changed the price then stapled it to my bag. I asked him why would he do that after the fact that he charged my card. He said they have been changing prices for the past 3 months. Bad business. I explained that less fortunate people go by the menu and if I only had exact change I would not be able to purchase the meal. He then said to me " if I can't afford it give it back". So I gave all the food back. I am black but I could afford it. I was not going to argue. I told him everywhere would do that if they can and if he can't understand that that's false advertising and robbery to the customers who been coming there for three months and never noticed the change the conversation is just over.
