My spouse and I came here this past Friday to eat with our little boy.
The atmosphere was nice and we liked the decor, however the bar height tables was really uncomfortable. I'm 5'9' and my wife a little shorter and neither of us could rest our feet on anything while sitting at the table. Our son's high chair was too short for the bar-height table. Additionally the music was pretty loud and not really conducive towards having a conversation.
The service was OK, nothing to complain about but nothing to write home about either.
The taste of the pizza I got was pretty good, but the slices were unevenly cooked - almost burnt or outright charred on the crust and the center was severely underdone. My pizza fell apart with every slice and it was not a specialty pizza, just a regular one with two topings. My wife got the fig pizza, and the fig jam was just dolloped on one bit of each slice. She said the pizza was fine but was expecting the fig jam to be distributed a bit more.
We also got the Vampire's Bane (tons of garlic and parm and black pepper) wings. They were pretty bland but we realized that adding a bit of salt helped immensely. The wings were a bit larger than regular ones. This was not worth 2 dollars a wing.
All in all, we would rate the food relatively poorly and the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable, especially since my legs hurt a bit just dangling there, but we thought the...

Read moreTried The Hub on a recommendation. I'm a little bit of a pizza snob. I want a delicious authentic crust. True tomatoe sauce and real mozzarella cheese. If it's pepperoni I'm looking at picante salami. (No I wont order pineapple on pizza)
We were the only party for lunch when we arrived and noone at the bar. Waitress came right over and took or drink orders. The ice tea was horrible (had a bourbon barrel flavor) Pizza's came out quickly- a great sign that the oven is hot like it should be. Pepperoni slices resembled the small picante salami and almost had that real Italian flavor. Crust was a 9 out of 10. I enjoyed the tomatoe sauce. If it wasnt homemade, they did a very good job of making it taste homemade. One pie had the standard shredded mozz. Nothing special there. Our second pie was with ricotta and meatball. It came with mozz too (a first for me) I'll go back and try a specialty item.
Prices are on par with most places now. You wont get out for less than...
