Nazareth Diner — Restaurant in Nazareth

History repeats itself! Not since the Fall of 2024, did I have the Mussels Marinara with Pasta, at the Nazareth Diner. The reason being was that I almost cracked my teeth, biting down on a broken shell, in my food!

Then, as I looked through my plate some more, I found many more broken shells. I told the server and she took my plate back to the kitchen. She came back to my table and told me that they would remake my pasta and also put the same mussels in a separate bowl. A few minutes later, my pasta came out, with the same mussels on top of the pasta!

However, since it has been over a year, I decided to order this dinner again on Thursday June 5, 2025. I thought that last year’s incident was a one-time mistake. But I was horrified when my food was delivered to my table and immediately, I saw broken mussel shells.

So I sat there, pulling the mussels out of all their shells. Once I was done doing this, I know longer wanted to eat the meal.

I asked for a to-go box and as I was putting my meal from my plate into the box, I still found two more broken shells! The food is now sitting in my freezer because I am still deciding whether I ever want to eat it or not!

I do believe in second chances however, I do NOT believe in third chances. As much as I like mussels and pasta, I will NEVER be ordering it from this diner again!

Also, this meal went up in price $2.00, since I ordered it in the Fall of 2024! Finally, this diner charges additional money onto your check, if you use a credit card to pay vs paying with cash.

I have been coming to this diner since I moved here 18 years ago. We always loved it. What has happened in the last 2 years is criminal I understand that our economy has been ruined over the last 4 years and prices have skyrocketed but what is going on here is pure greed and taking advantage of a bad situation. I went with my daughter. We orderd farmers casaroles. IT was $8.95 but now its $14.95. Its eggs 3 kinds of meat potates and cheese. What came was a bowl of potatoes tiny specs of meat almost no eggs and one plop of cheese. A burger used to be under $10 and it came with fries and coleslaw. Now if you want fries with it is $15.95. We ordered an egg on top of the burger, the bill came the price went from $15.95 to $26.95 I ordered and $9 latte that was a cup of milk with a splash of coffee and it was cold The food was awful dry cold. What a mess. Im sure the owners don't care because their parking lot is always full, however me and my family will NEVER step foot in there again. I would like to ad the that wait staff always was and is awesome kind curteous efficent. Its a shame they are working for such greedy pigs I would like to ad. Nazareth Diner will not disappoint if you are looking to dine-in or carry out great food. The owners are great people who appreciate their customers & value your business. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, & beautiful. They offer private dining in their stunning Galleria as well as Provide booth & table seating. Salad bar is always fully stocked, 2 homemade soups to pick from, & a menu that will take some time to review. Gluten Free & vegetarian options are available. Their breakfast options are the best around. Stop in for a simple Omelette, eggs, Grits (southern approved) or opt for something like a homemade belgian waffle topped with nutella, bananas, & whipped cream, ice cream, fresh fruit, chicken or their HOMEMADE delicious Creamed chipped beef. The portions are enough to fill you & have some for later. Prices are a little pricey. Staff is most of the time friendly, although some provide better service then others. Bread sticks are homemade. Delicious triple layered cakes, plain & fruit cheesecakes, fruit pies, rice pudding all made on premises. Delicious fruit salad & especially their secret recipe Honey Mustard & perfect chipotle mayo!
