Negative first. Came over for the apple jack festival the room was very loud and voices carried easily not because there was a good amount of people it was if they added some texture to reduce noise on the white wall and ceiling it would fix the problem.
To check out and pay you have to weave between tables to wait in line . The cashier is right at the entrance witch is a nice double wide doorway so about 7ft wide but now 3ft of space is taken up by a cashier so you have people coming in while your trying to pay and fighting traffic just to get through the entrance.
They can fix this by having the cashier to pay bill at the bar.
The food was expensive for how much you got . Small portions for 17+ usd just for a meal.
The Positive
Man the food was delicious I had the biscuits and gravy the biscuits where great not to salty and a little flacky . They where soft and a little firm and buttery but definitely not tough. Then the gravy ooh man it was good nice flavor a hugh amount of meat and good color they didn't cook the rue too long , good seasoned meat and savory sauce to complement it.
The Quiche Nice flacky buttery crust that was hearty enough to not get mushy with the eggs but not too tough either it was just right . The eggs where well seasoned and good fluffy texture and delicious flavor . There just wasn't enough
Honestly first watch is cheaper and has as good flavor and first watch is...
Read moreWhat an odd experience. The shop is lovely and the restaurant's servingware is truly joyful and tasteful. The place was packed, so we hoped we had found some good food. Instead, we got service with a sneer. We have a suspicion that we were treated poorly because we look different from everybody else there.
If that had been the case and their food was good, I wouldn't have left a review. It wasn't. The enchiladas were the better item. They and the rice were dry. The entire plate was flavorless, but edible and filling. It wasn't worth the cost.
The French Dip was the most poorly executed example of that sandwich we had ever seen. The beef was simply packaged deli beef and was in no way prepared with any of the seasonings a French Dip should have. The au jus was similarly an unprepared beef broth, which lacked even salt. We're pretty sure the cheese was American-style single slice Swiss because it fully melted. The bread was excellent, but wasted on such a poorly prepared sandwich.
At no point did anybody ask how our meal was.
They have no vegetarian options for those who might care.
If you're in town for an art walk or something,...
Read moreOur family was out for a weekend Thanksgiving at a grandparents. My wife has been here before and knew what she wanted. A slice of the praline apple pie and to get one to take for Thanksgiving dinner the next day. Well there was a problem there was only one pie and if we wanted pie now there wouldn't be a whole one to take to grandma's. Our waitress mentioned that they were baking some other pies right now. So we ate the pie there, well I had warm cherry pie with a scoop of Ice cream which sounded pretty good but my wife let me taste her slice of the apple pie and it was so good I realized I made the wrong choice. So as we were about to leave I asked about the pies the were baking and the praline apple pie had just come out of the oven I asked if we could get that one and they agreed to it so they took some extra precautions to get it ready to leave. So I am sorry if there was no pie the next day. On a side and just as important note the ice cream they served with the pie is homemade I f only I had planned better and had a way to take the Ice cream with us......
