Self Expressions Gallery — Attraction in Nebraska City

I live in Lincoln and by some odd chance found this place on facebook. I am a creative person who likes to dabble in a lot of different hobbies. Calligraphy, painting, drawing, crochet, and so much more. My craft room has so many different categories... I love painting but never thought I was much good at it. I can handle the basics just fine but wanting to fine tune details and techniques. I had been wanting to take some kind of class or lesson. Even looked into taking a course at a community college but trying to do that with my work scheduled would be hard. I reached out to Self Expressions on a facebook message asking about upcoming classes they were having and after I kind of explained what I was looking for they offered to host a one-on-one class for me (sounded like it would be something that's out of my budget) but the prices they gave me were so reasonable so I scheduled it and came up on a Saturday. I worked with Honey who guided me in painting a portrait of my dogs. I was able to independently work but then also when I got stuck or something wasn't turning out right she was able to help me fine tune. I didn't have to bring or purchase any materials which was great and used the supplies they had on hand without any additional fees! That way I could learn different materials before making an investment in even more supplies. I spent about 3.5 hours at the studio and got a very good start on my painting, I am so excited to finish it. I am also excited to make a trip down to Neb City for this place...

What a lovely space! Comfortable to walk through & not cluttered, but with a very eclectic array of different types of art. A great place to find a perfect statement piece to dress up a room or a gift for someone special. My husband chose his own birthday present, a super cool print by the owner HoneyLynn! We will definitely be back, as I have my eye on a few other things. It was absolutely worth the hour...

Fantastic gallery to visit with so many different facets of art and differing artists. I took a picture painting session and had a great time!
