Hungry Hiker Cafe & Deli — Restaurant in Nelsonville

The Hungry Hiker Cafe and Deli in Nelsonville is inside a neat shop with essentials, gifts, and more. It's a breakfast / lunch / dinner counter with fantastic food for super cheap. My husband and I ordered 2 nice sized breakfast burritos loaded up just how we like, had 2 fresh hot coffees, and paid barely over $12. The staff is wonderfully helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. You can even book experiences, cabins, houses, and more here if you'd like. This is a deli in the back of a store. I wouldn’t call this a cafe. We came in on Sunday June 8 to find out many items were out of stock because the people at the festival took all the food.

The lady ringing up people was more interested in chatting than getting a sandwich made. I’ve never seen someone work so hard and working so slow. The lady at the counter was more interested in complaining.

Fun place to stop in! Shop while you wait for your food, sit at a table or take your food to go. Food was PIPING hot, not common when ordering food! Staff was friendly and kind.
