One of the best finds in the area! You canāt go wrong with anything you order here and the staff is great!
Edit: 2022: sadly have to deduct a star since original reviewā¦have been coming here since 2019 and have seen a lot of turnover of really great staff, huge price increases, and they are very inconsistent in food quality from sandwiches to the mac and cheese. Wait times also seem to be effected due to staffing shortages and for this reason I would call in food, however I was still often waiting double the quoted time (ie 20min became a 40min wait). I can understand the price increase with inflation and the staffing shortages post pandemic but I find myself coming here less and less due to these issues. The food is still great quality and for that reason I am leaving it a 4 stars instead of 3
Second edit: 2023: I am soo happy to say that I am adding back my deducted star. Recently the management has changed and it has made all the difference! Better service, better quality food, delicious soups and sandwiches, great staff and they even offer a sandwich stamp card now. Happy to continue supporting as always, thereās no place quite like here.
Third edit: I hate to do this but I am deducting a staff due to recent experiences. Many times they have not had stamp cards available so I just have up on that. The new staff seems friendly but the wait times are still pretty long. My main issue is again with the mac and cheese. Itās more cheese than noodles and hasnāt tasted right the last few times where Iāve taken 1 bite and thrown it out. Which sucks when itās $4. Tried a brownie as well for the first time and it just tasted weird from sitting out in a meat shop lol. The sandwiches and sausages are great and I would recommend but Im kind of done ordering anything other than the soups or sandwiches here. And Itās quite pricey as well and I honestly just canāt really afford a $22 meal + tip anymore especially when I have repeatedly had to throw...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBone broth! As in the real deal. āØI know first hand the 3-5 day process of making bone broth, as I made it and sold it to friends and family 4 years ago, when I used it to heal my leaky gut. I had a huge kitchen back then, and plenty of space to make my own. I was making 20-40 quarts a week. šŖš¼Iām limited on space now, and the price of bones has gone up. ā¹ļøI simply canāt make broth for cheaper than I get it from The Ham Stand. AND itās DELICIOUS š Maybe the best Iāve tasted! And Iāve sampled bone broth all over the country. Bone broth is a superfood, itās part of my health routine, and I LOVE the broth Jasonās serving up at The Ham Stand. š„° Not to mention the pulled pork, brisket and all the homemade sauces heās making, everything smoked and cured in house! So grateful to have a place like this in my little home town. And Sierra, the new girl at the counter, is a joyful addition. Always with a smile, always happy to help.š¤©...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExquisite all around! The Reuben was naughty and highly recommend. The chicken sandwich was also phenomenal.
We also got sausages to go: Bratwursts were fat, flavorful, and authentically German style British Bangers were out of this world, truly. Absolutely delicious. the spicy snack stick was alrightāa bit too soft / young / moist. I wouldnāt get this again. the LandjƤger was shorter and fatter and in the French style (white edible casing) compared to the longer brown anis sausages from Germany Iām used to. But the flavor profile was far more nuanced and just all around brighter compared to the more traditional ones (which tend to have too much salt and too much anis).
For some reason, the cured meats are kept in cooler, not out hanging. So, if you buy the snack sticks, let them warm up a day or two outside of the fridge for maximal flavor and texture!
